Welcome to the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework – Signposting document, which will be updated and issued annually.

The document is intended to enable the provision of information to people visiting the pharmacy, who require further support, advice or treatment which cannot be provided by the pharmacy, on other health and social care providers, or support organisations who may be able to assist the person. Where appropriate, this may take the form of a referral.

It is intended that this document be used electronically and referred to as needed, but can also be held in hard copy if required. It can also be accessed via NHS Suffolk Extranet at www.suffolkextranet.nhs.uk following the Pharmacy tab for more links to information.

Moving around the document

Table of contents Use the table of contents to move quickly and easily to the required section. Simply click on the link to go to the required section i.e. if the enquiry is about Dentists in the area, simply click on ‘Dentists’. N.B. It may be necessary to also press the ‘Ctrl’ key in some versions of Word. The ‘Ctrl’ keys are located in the bottom corners of the main keyboard

At the top of every section, you will find a link back to the ‘Table of Contents’, or alternatively, you may wish to use the ‘Bookmarks’ as described below.

Bookmarks You can also use the ‘Bookmarks’ button on the ‘Signposting’ toolbar that comes with this document. Bookmarks’ are points of entry in a document, just like the ‘Table of Contents’. Simply click to open the list of ‘Bookmarks’ contained within the document, scroll up and down the list and select the required ‘Bookmark’ using your mouse. Either double click the selection, or click on the ‘Go To’ button. Click ‘Cancel’ to close the ‘Bookmarks’ window.

Printing

Print Current Page It will usually only be necessary for you to print one page of the document at a time, particularly in response to enquiries from people visiting the pharmacy. First make sure that the cursor is located on the page you wish to print. Then click the ‘Print Current Page’ button on the ‘Signposting’ toolbar using your mouse.

The service is open to both male and female family carers (aged 18+) and offers learning and workshops at our Information and Support Centre in Claydon.
