Equipment at port for handling steel cargo includes 6 Kalmars (42 T capacity), 16 mobile harbor cranes (100 Efficient Handling of Project Cargo MT capacity), 8 Goliath cranes with vacuum lifting attachments, forklifts (42 T capacity) and 1 Reach Stacker. Steel Cargo Pre Berthing Delay Specially designed coil stands for locking of coils on trailers for internal movement and System 88 for use on trailers for safe pipe transportation. Master Plan of APSEZ, Mundra Dahej Port Existing Facilities World-class solid cargo handling terminal at Dahej for EXIM trade to serve central Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh with international standard norms, excellent storage facilities and eco-friendly technology. The port is located in the Gulf of Khambhat, Bharuch district, Gujarat, on the west coast of India. North Jetty Mechanised Operations Port infrastructure is capable of handling dry bulk, break (Mainly for Coal) bulk and project cargo operations round the clock. At APPPL, 2.65 lac sq. mtrs open storage area is available, including 21000 sq. mtrs of concrete storage yard for bulk/break bulk (further expandable to 77000 sq. mtrs). RORO Jetty Mechanised cargo handling systems with two shore For Project Cargo cranes at North Berth and manual handling system with (SODC) two mobile hoppers and two shore cranes at South Berth for faster turnaround of vessel operations. South Jetty Non-Mechanised Operations 3.8 km conveyor connectivity available within port with (Mainly for Clean Cargo) rated capacity 4200 TPH. Two stacker reclaimer in stack yard with a capacity of 4200 TPH stacking and 2500 TPH reclaiming. Berth Facilities 2 Berths: • North Berth: Mechanised handling system and 2 shore crane for cargo handling. • South Berth: Manual operation with 2 hopper and shore crane for cargo handling. RO RO Berth: APPPL has developed RO RO facilities for handling ODC cargo. Deep draft of 14 mtrs capable of handling capesize vessels. Japanese tugs, Dolphin-3 and Dolphin-4, each having a capacity of 55 tonnes bollard pull with twin engine and twin propeller. The engine of the tugs are of 2200 BHP with zed pellar system. Rail Connectivity A dedicated railway siding with 4 km private rail network connecting Dahej railway station. Rating also factors growth in cargo volumes during FY19 (refers to the period April 1 to March 31) and H1FY20 (refers to the period from April 01 to September 30) despite slowdown in Exim trade. Rating continues to take into account healthy profitability, demonstrated execution capabilities of APSEZ in the port sector and strong financial flexibility as well as liquidity. The rating assigned to NCD-II continues to take into account of escrow of entire receivables of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (rated CARE AAA; Stable) for the single point mooring (SPM) facility and maintenance of funded debt service reserve account (DSRA).
