Completing and submitting the FAFSA is free and it gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college. o Opens October 1st, 2020 and closes in July, 2021 ▪ The sooner you file your FAFSA, more aid options will be available to you. o What you need to apply: ▪ Social Security number, Driver license, Bank statements, Parent information (if you're a dependent), W-2 forms and tax returns from two years ago (2019 return for the 2021- 2022 FAFSA), Up to 10 schools you are interested in attending • Raise Me (raise.me) o Students can earn scholarships to pay for college by doing things that will improve their chances of being accepted. Every time you reach a goal like getting good grades or doing extracurricular activities, you can earn microscholarships, starting as early as the 9th grade o Raise Me will also estimate the amount of financial aid schools will award you upon acceptance • Additional Scholarships: o See the list of scholarships in your folder or visit the Career Center website (tinyurl.com/SunriseCC) ACT/SAT: • Many Colleges are waiving the requirement for ACT/SAT scores for admissions/scholarships this year.
