Read the following: 1) From the ENC, Hyderabad Lr. No. W1/DEE1/BTR/12, dt. 12-06-12. 2) From the ENC, Hyderabad Lr. No. W1/PMGSY/B.T.Renewals/2012 dt. 24-09-2012. ***** O R D E R: In the reference 2nd read above the Engineer-in-Chief, PR, Hyderabad has submitted proposals for BT renewals for 609 road works i.e. 309 works for PMGSY Roads and 300 works for Non PMGSY Roads for a total amount of Rs. 20865.12 lakh for the period 2012-13 under Maintenance of Rural Roads Grant which were completed under PMGSY and Non PMGSY. 2. The proposals have been examined and Government hereby accord administrative sanction for an amount of Rs. 20865.12 lakh for the period 2012-13 for 609 works as annexed to this order under MRR Grant under the following Head of Account. MJH 3054 Roads & Buildings MH 04 District & Other Roads. GH 196 Assistance to Zilla Parishads. SH (12) Assistance to Panchayat Raj Institutions for Maintenance of Rural Roads. 270 Minor works. 272 Maintenance. 3. The Engineer-in-Chief, PR, Hyderabad is directed to take up Maintenance of the roads by providing BT Renewals so as to not only protect the BT road assets already created but also to extend their life. It is further instructed to ensure durable and good riding surface with the presently sanctioned Maintenance works duly having necessary quantitative and qualitative checks and executing the works confirming relevant technical specifications. Propose maintenance of CD works wherever necessary. Removal of High berms and jungle on the road margins must be attended. Removal of encroachments etc, in the road margins in towns and villages, which obstruct flow of rain water wherever necessary may be attended. 4. The Engineer-in-Chief, PR should see that the works are executed within the administrative sanction amounts and no revision of estimated cost exceeding administrative sanction will be allowed. 5. The Superintending Engineer, PR, concerned should check and verify that the works sanctioned in Para 2 above is not already sanctioned/grounded/semi finished under any other grants. Any discrepancy noticed is to be brought to the notice of the higher authority immediately who will inform to Government for further necessary action. The above instructions shall be followed scrupulously. If such works as sanctioned in this GO are already grounded etc., it may deemed to have been cancelled automatically and the same may be informed to Government immediately for taking further necessary action. The technical estimate must be verified by the concerned Executive Engineer, before grounding the work. Alternate sanctions will not be entertained. 6. The Engineer-in-Chief PR, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter accordingly and submit the utilization Certificates to Government soon after completion of the works in the stipulated time. Industries Minister P. Thangamani, who gave away the loans on Saturday, said that the target set for distributing loans to SHGs under the scheme during the financial year 2012-13 was Rs. 3.5 crore. “However, loan to the tune of Rs. 3.9 crore was distributed to SHGs in that year, which is Rs. 40 lakh more than the target set for that year. The target set for the current financial year is Rs. 4 crore”, he added. Mettur level The water level in Mettur dam stood at 119.65 feet on Monday against its full level of 120 feet. It is, for these reasons that the Intensive Agricultural Divtrict programme known as the Package Programme was started first in West Godavari District in 1960 aiming at further increasing the production offood and important commercial crops. West Godavari District ranks first among the rice growing districts in the State, both in regard to area under crop and in respect of production. The area under rice in 1970-71 in this district is 384,367 hectares constituting 70.5% of the total cropped area in the district and 10.9% of the total area under the crop in Andhra Pradesh State. The annual outturn of rice in this district is 659,078 tonnes which forms 13.8% of the total outturn in the State.
