workshop on Cyber Security Framework for A Department of Defence was organised by DDP, Ministry of Defence. The workshop was inaugurated by Raksha Mantri Smt Nirmala Sitharaman. During her address, Smt Sitharaman stressed upon the fact that Defence sector is more prone to the cyber threats and hence it becomes important to safeguard our cyberspace with anticipation of possible attacks. The Raksha Mantri congratulated Department of Defence Production for formulating Cyber Security Framework for DDP and also establishing Cyber Security Cells at various levels to handle cyber security related issues. he Raksha Mantri, Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, visited Tthe Chinar Corps to review the overall security situation prevailing in the Valley. The Raksha Mantri accompanied by COAS General Bipin Rawat was received by Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Northern Army Commander and Lt Gen AK Bhatt, Chinar Corps Commander. The Raksha Mantri was briefed about the security and administrative arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra on ground. The Raksha Mantri was subsequently given an update by the Chinar Corps Commander in Badami Bagh Cantonment on the latest security scenario on the Kashmir Valley including details of Counter Infiltration and Counter Terrorist Operations undertaken in the recent past. She appreciated the effectiveness of the intelligence and operational grids and commended the commanders and troops for the excellent operational successes, which has contributed significantly towards improving the security environment in Kashmir Valley. o commemorate the Year of TDisabled Soldier in Line of Duty, Indian Army honoured the soldiers who have been disabled while serving the nation in a seminar on Physical & Mental Issues of Disabled Soldiers organised at Manekshaw Centre. The event was attended by disabled soldiers and veterans, along with serving soldiers, officers and ladies. This event was used as an opportunity to connect with injured Indian Army bravehearts and acknowledge their service to the Nation. he Chief of Army Staff Gen Bipin TRawat visited the AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi from June 16-17, 2018. The General Officer was accompanied by Madhulika Rawat, President, Army Wives Welfare Association and a delegation of other officers from the HQs which included Lt Gen Rajesh Rana, General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area and Maj Gen Arun Kumar Vyas, Additional Director General of Military Training (Army Education) amongst others. AEC Training College and Center is known for imparting training in Foreign Languages and Military Music. On June 16, a band concert was organised showcasing the martial music skills of the trainees and instructors. Mrs Madhulika Rawat also graced the occasion during the conduct of Family Welfare activities by Station ladies. The event was also highlighted by an exhibition of creative work by station ladies in which Mrs Madhulika Rawat felicitated all the participants. Mount Deotibba provided excellent opportunity to the team in honing their mountaineering skills. Mt Deotibba is the second highest peak (6001M) in the Pir-Panjal range in Himachal Pradesh.
