SUPPLEMENT. THE CITY RECORD.

ANNUAL REPORT OF THE COMPTROLLER, THE CITY OF NEW YORK FOR the YEAR ended DECEMBER 31, 1925 FEBRUARY 27, 1926. In accordance with the requirements of section 161 of the Greater York Charter, the Comptroller of The City of New York herewith publishes within two months after the close of * * * calendar year a full and detailed statement of the receipts and the expenditures of the corporation during the" year ended December 31, 1925, together with the "cash balance" in the City Treasury and in the Sinking Funds; also "the different sources of City revenue and the amount received from each, the several appropriations made, the objects for which the same were made, and the amount of moneys expended under each, the money borrowed on the credit of the corporation, the authority under which each loan was made, and the terms on which the same was obtained * * * clearly and particularly specified." The expenditures during 1925 chargeable against appropriation accounts, special revenue bond accounts, corporate stock accounts, tax note accounts, special accounts and trust accounts are stated on the basis of the net voucher registration, and the amount of "moneys expended" from each separate acck:unt is shown on the basis of the warrant, paid by the Chamberlain. Full particulars are given with respect to "the money borrowed on the credit of the corporation" by means of revenue bonds, corporate stuck notes and other certificates of indebtedness, showing the terms on which obtained, viz.; the annual rate of interest on which each separate amount of notes or bonds were sold, the time to run, etc. The statements dealing with the appropriation accounts show the action during the year 1925, including transfers to and irom by resolutions of the Board of Estimate and Apportionment, cash refunds, and the amount of net voucher registration against each appropriation, concluding with the unexpended balance on a voucher basis as of December 31, 1925. The statements of the special revenue bond accounts, the corporate stock accounts, and tax note accounts, show, among other things, the amount of unused authorizations as at the opening and as at the close of the year, the totals authorized during the year and the reserve for contracts as of December 31.
