Virtual Canned Pickles & Recipes, Ingredients & Equipment List

Ingredients List

 13 cups sliced trimmed pickling cucumbers (1/4-inch “rounds”)  3 Tbsp Ball® Mixed Pickling (or other variety)  4 cups cider vinegar  4 cups water  ¾ cup sugar  ½ cup Ball® for Pickling & Preserving  5 bay leaves  5 cloves  2 ½ tsp mustard seeds  5 heads fresh dill

Equipment List  6 pint jars with lids (one piece or two piece)—I prefer pint jars for pickles & sauces, but you could use quart jars as long as your pot for canning is at least 6” taller than the jar  Jar lifter  Funnel for jars (wide mouth)  Large stock pot for canning  Pot suitable for your recipe  Canning racks for bottom of canning stock pot (optional—can use balled up aluminum foil)  Timer  Ladle  Large spoon with long handle (to stir ingredients from safe distance)  Garbage/compost bags  Paper towels  Kitchen towels (cotton, not fancy)

Ingredients List

 2 lbs. mixed yellow wax and green beans, rinsed, stem ends trimmed, beans cut to 4 inch lengths  2 ½ cups white vinegar  ½ cup white wine vinegar  1 ½ cups water  2 tbsp. sugar  3 tbsp. Ball® Salt for Pickling and Preserving  8 red Thai chili peppers, a small slice lengthwise down the middle, leaving pepper intact  ½ sweet , sliced thin lengthwise, divided into 4 portions  4 garlic cloves, crushed  2 tsp. mustard seeds  2 tsp. crushed black peppercorns  8 dill sprigs
