When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again! 1 CAST & CREW BIOGRAPHIES: KEVIN SMITH (Silent Bob, Director / Writer) Kevin Smith has been saying silly cinematic shit since his first film Clerks, released way back in 1994. He had a heart attack and almost died last year but survived solely so he could direct his magnum opus, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. A polygamist, he’s married to both his wife Jen and podcasting. JASON MEWES (Jay) Jason Mewes most recently made his directorial debut on MADNESS IN THE METHOD, which was released in August 2019. With cult-fans following his controversial antics, Mewes has captured audiences with his rebellious banter against his unspoken other half and longtime friend, Kevin Smith. Since the beginning of the duo’s offbeat work together, Mewes and Smith have continued to build on their beloved character-driven roles from the Jay and Silent Bob series. It’s been over a decade since fans last saw the duo in live- action, but they’re back along with a star-studded cast in the upcoming comedy film, JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT.

This essay examines two recent U.S. films that explicitly connect art and women’s bisexuality: Kevin Smith’s Chasing Amy (1997) and Lisa Cholodenko’s High Art (1998). The affiliation between bisexuality and art reflects a paradox: an erotics of refusing distinctions, bisexuality acts as a metaphor for both the breakdown of sexual catego- ries and the blending of high art and low entertainment.

Dogma (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 12/29/11 6:58 AM Dogma (film) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Dogma is a 1999 American adventure fantasy comedy film written and directed by Kevin Smith, who also stars in the Dogma film along with an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Linda Fiorentino, Alan Rickman, Bud Cort, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, Jason Lee, George Carlin, Janeane Garofalo, Alanis Morissette, and Jason Mewes. Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson, the stars of Smith's debut film Clerks, have cameo roles, as do Smith regulars Scott Mosier, Dwight Ewell, Walt Flanagan, and Bryan Johnson. The fourth film set in the View Askewniverse is a hypothetical-scenario film revolving around the Catholic Church and Catholic belief, which caused organized protests and much controversy in many countries, delaying release of the film and leading to at least two death threats against Smith.[2][3] The film follows two fallen angels, Loki and Bartleby, who, through a loophole in Catholic Dogma, find a way to get back into Heaven after being cast out by God. Pride in What You Wear June is not only Pride month, but the one year anniversary of a new Rhode Island-based podcast called “Your Queer Story.” “Your Queer Story” (YourQueerStory.com), from Evan Jones and Paul Hobbs, is a weekly free LGBT comedy podcast that covers queer history, personal stories, religion, politics, sexuality and more. Jones, an LGBTQ activist, decided to celebrate Pride through fashion and flags on his personal Facebook page. Focused on the podcast’s mission of educating as many people as possible about the LGBT community, Jones found a great way to grab attention while “sporting various work outfits this #pridemonth that coincide with flag colors and showcase the different members of [the] community.” Throughout the month, Jones shared selfies in colorful coordinating business attire. “I just wanted to show my support for the community and I like to dress up,” Jones said. He started off with the familiar rainbow Pride flag encompassing all the communities and then moved on to 11 other flags, including those representing the communities of genderqueer, intersex, asexual, lesbian, trans, pansexual, queer POC, bisexual, leather, polyamorous and queer. Jones used socks, shirts, buttons and even a small ax. Each post’s caption was filled with its corresponding flag’s creation history, symbolic meaning, fun facts and myth-busting. “I come from a background that doesn’t have a lot of education on the queer community. So that’s what I do with the podcast and with queer issues.” During his fashion foray, Jones was surprised by what he learned regarding the Labrys Lesbian flag.

  • DOGMA by Kevin Smith
DOGMA by Kevin Smith EXT. ASBURY PARK BOARDWALK – DAY Jersey spring day. Beyond the wooden planks that make up the aged fun pier, the ocean waves crash into the sandy shoreline. An OLD MAN stares at the empty beach. Sun-worshipers hours away from besmirching the dunes. His features are simple. He wears an old overcoat. His face belies good years gone by – a face that has seen more sunrises than one would suspect. He inhales the crisp, salty air and lets a small, satisfied smile cross his face. Behind him. a large arcade with steel shuttered doors sits on the boardwalk. Three young boys skate around by on roller blades, passing a street hockey ball between them proficiently. The Old Man views them briefly. checks his watch, and looks back toward the ocean. The skates of the three hockey playing youths skid to a halt. We pan up to their faces – now cold and dispassionate. They look at one another and nod. Their skates glide out of frame. POV SKATERS The Old Man leans on the railing that overlooks the beach. We get closer and closer to him until... One of the skaters checks him hard into the railing. The Old Man exhales violently and falls to his knees. The two other skaters begin savagely beating on him with their hockey sticks, as he crumbles beneath them. Repeatedly their blades crash down hard on his head. VOICE (O.S.) I don't understand – how can you base your lack of belief in God on the writings Lewis Caroll? The three skaters cease their beating and check the Old Man's pulse.
