Ever since I was a little boy I have been a fan, and some might even say that I became somewhat obsessed, for which I cannot really blame them. Moreover, I have always had a special interest in mixed language songs, so linking the two subjects seemed only natural. Thanks to a rather unfortunate turn of events, this thesis took a lot longer to write than was initially planned, but nevertheless, here it is. La plataforma solidària celebrarà la catorzena edició el proper 16 de desembre. El disc, però, es començarà a vendre el 2 de desembre al preu de 10 euros a través de diferents mitjans generalitstes i especialitzats catalans, inclosa la revista Enderrock. Els seus beneficis, com sempre, es dedicaran a la causa de La Marató, que enguany és la lluita contra el càncer. Con el nacimiento de esta revista, la Sección Cultural de la Embajada pretende dar un nuevo impulso a la difusión de la cultura entre la comunidad de españoles residentes en Dinamarca. OFFICIAL BULLETIN No. 4 June 2006 Edition in English FÉDÉRATION INTERNATIONALE DE VOLLEYBALL A busy month of May at the FIVB The month of May marked a The FIVB Executive Committee turning point in the FIVB’s annual calendar and a shift from several months of busy preparation to a phase of action. On the competition side, the first tournament on the SWATCH FIVB World Tour took place, whilst on the administration side the FIVB’s Executive Committee and Board of Administration held their annual session in Lausanne. In addition to examining the proposals of the FIVB’s Commissions, the Board of Administration also reviewed the 184 candidatures for the Commissions and Board of Administration for submission to the 30th World Congress in Japan later this year. Prior to these meetings, important sessions were held by the Legal Commis- sion, the Press Commission with tourna- ment press directors and the Technical Supervisors and Referee Delegates for Beach Volleyball. In addition to the first SWATCH FIVB World Tour event in Modena, Beach Vol- leyball also saw the first NESTEA Euro- pean Championship tournament – the Turkish Masters in Alanya and the first FIVB Challenger event, which brought An artist’s impression of the Chaoyang Park Beach Volleyball complex for Beijing 2008 Beach Volleyball to the Czech Republic for the first time ever.
