LA CAGE AUX FOLLES

Audition Notice

Winner of 11 Tony Awards and one of Broadway's biggest hits, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is a musical-comedy classic featuring a book by Harvey Fierstein and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. In April 2017, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES will be gloriously revived by W!LD RICE, the company that brought you such hits as Boeing Boeing, Beauty World and The Importance of Being Earnest.

With a star-studded cast, a chorus line of notorious and sexy Cagelles, as well as a magnificent score of memorable heart-warming songs including I Am What I Am and The Best of Times, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is a touching tale of one family’s struggle to stay together, stay fabulous and, above all else, stay true to themselves!

We are currently casting for the role of ANNE as well as two female ensemble members. You have to be available during:

Rehearsals: 6 March 2017 – 8 April 2017

Bump-In: 9 – 13 April 2017

Show: 13 April 2017 – 13 May 2017

Auditionees are required to act, sing and dance and play a character in her early to mid twenties. If you can commit to the schedule above, you may send us a video link (wetransfer, YouTube etc) of the following:

• A monologue (2 minutes long) • A song of your choice • A short dance routine

All interested candidates should submit a performance résumé, headshot and full- body shot (taken within the last 3 months) to [email protected] by Friday, 18 March 2016.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to come for an audition on 10 April 2016, Sunday (10am – 6pm) at 33 Kerbau Road, Singapore 219166 (off Serangoon Road, nearest MRT station: Little India, exit E).

Male dancers who can sing, dance and act are also invited to send in their CVs – all interested dancers must be proficient in jazz and tap dance and should be at least 1.8m in height.
