What is drywall? Drywall is a solid panel made of gypsum and paper that is used to construct interior walls and ceilings . Drywall can be installed quickly and easily by screwing it into place, unlike the more skilled method of plastering walls. Due to drywall being a flat panel it cannot be used on curved surfaces as plaster can .

What’s plaster? Plaster is mainly used to create a smooth finish on walls, ceilings,brick, block or other surfaces . The 3 main types of plaster are gypsum, lime and cement . Due to plaster being a wet mix it can be built up and placed on curved surfaces unlike drywall . Plaster requires skill to achieve a even and smooth finish unlike drywall.
