I foråret var 40 nordiske forfattere æresgæster på bogmessen i Paris, Le salon du livre, som gav et par hundrede tusinde besøgende lejlighed til at stifte bekendtskab med nordisk litteratur. Begivenheden afspejler en vilje til at markedsføre og brande nordisk litteratur. Også i Belgien er der fokus på Norden, hvad der har givet anledning til en efterspørgsel efter videreuddannelseskurser for bibliotekarer. Vi har derfor på afdelingen for skandinaviske sprog på Mons universitet iværksat en række kurser, som i anden omgang har været udgangspunktet for en nærmere undersøgelse af receptionen af nordisk litteratur i Frankrig og fransktalende Belgien1. Henning Mankell får ofte tildelt rollen som pioneren, der banede vejen, og Stieg Larsson er så den forfatter, der anlagde motorvejen. Et stort antal af de bibliotekarer, vi har været i kontakt med, fremhæver da også Millenium-trilogien som banebrydende for læserinteressen.

His work has been published or performed in over thirty countries and has received numerous international awards, amongst them the Janusz Korczak Honorary Award, the French Grand Prix de l’Imaginire and the Kairos prize awarded by the Alfred To- epfer Foundation to outstanding individuals. Magnason has been active in the fight against the destruction of the Icelan- dic Highlands.

It nowadays publishes literature in the fields of ethnology and folkloristics, linguistics, literary research and cultural history. The first volume of the Studia Fennica series appeared in 1933. Since 1992, the series has been divided into three thematic subseries: Ethnologica, Folkloristica and Linguistica. Two additional subseries were formed in 2002, Historica and Litteraria. The subseries Anthropologica was formed in 2007.     La Littérature Nordique N'existe Pas

    Une vivante hétérogénéité Article paru dans l'édition du 18.03.11(le Monde des livres) Petit panorama littéraire d'une entité géographique aux contours plus flous qu'il n'y paraît Autant le dire tout de suite, la littérature nordique n'existe pas. Il en va d'elle un peu comme de la politique nordique. Quand cela les arrange, les pays nordiques sont capables de faire preuve d'une belle unité de façade qui repose sur une vraie communauté historique, culturelle, voire sentimentale. Mais quand leurs intérêts divergent, l'unité se morcelle. Cet éclatement est heureux puisqu'il rend compte d'une belle vivacité. Au départ, la scène nordique se distingue par la présence écrasante de quelques grands noms qui ont depuis longtemps essaimé au-delà des frontières : August Stringberg en Suède, Henrik Ibsen en Norvège, Hans Christian Andersen au Danemark, l'épopée fondatrice de l'identité finlandaise, Kalevala, rassemblée par Elias Lönnrot , ou les sagas d'Islande, terre du Prix Nobel Halldór Laxness. Les auteurs nordiques, qui s'inspirent mutuellement grâce à la proximité de leurs langues (mis à part le finnois), bénéficient d'une belle caisse de résonance avec le prix de littérature du Conseil nordique, décerné pour la première fois en 1962. De nombreux écrivains devenus familiers des lecteurs français ont été récompensés par ce prix. Quand un écrivain local perce, il entraîne à sa suite d'autres auteurs, comme l'a fait le Norvégien Jostein Gaarder au milieu des années 1990. Les éditeurs norvégiens ont pu profiter du formidable intérêt suscité par son livre, Le Monde de Sophie , pour avancer d'autres auteurs.

Sandro Penna Questo numero di Settentrione è composto soprattutto dagli atti del convegno organizzato dal nostro dipartimento in occasione del Centenario dell`Indipendenza della Finlandia: due giornate che docenti e discenti dell`Italianistica di Turku hanno condiviso con tanti amici dell`Italia e della Finlandia. La breve lirica di Sandro Penna che introduce queste righe, seppure non dedicata alla Finlandia, può incarnare e dare voce alla sensazione di molti di noi davanti a un elemento naturale che accomuna i nostri due Paesi, le nostre due culture. Prima di venire a Turku, ho passato quasi un quarto di secolo in Ungheria, Paese che da cento anni non ha sbocchi sul mare: gli Ungheresi si consolano chiamando il lago Balaton “mare magiaro” e persino nella vicina Austria la lingua tedesca ci fa illudere che See non significhi solo lago, ma anche mare.
