Title: John Wyatt Bonner collection of manuscripts Dates: 1771-1965 Extent: 0.1 cubic feet (3 folders) Identification: MS 1274 Biographical/Historical Note John Wyatt Bonner, Jr. served as the Special Collections Librarian at the University of Georgia for many years. Scope and Content Note This collection contains manuscripts assembled by John Wyatt Bonner; all pertain to Georgia history. Several manuscripts were given to Bonner by Telamon Cuyler and these were given to the Georgia Historical Society as a memorial to Cuyler. The manuscripts include a power of attorney to help settle a debt owed by Button Gwinnett, a letter to James Habersham concerning the will of Andrew Darling, a journal, in French, outlining the Siege of Savannah, and the personal correspondence of Bonner about the book collection at the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences.
