At this time of the year, a time for giving, it would be wonderful to remember all the charity organisations that depend on the good natured generosity of the general public. In our editorial picture this month we (Max and Glynnis Schutte) sport the T-shirts sold to raise funds for penguin rescue at SANCCOB. THE BEST OF TIMES AND THE WORST OF TIMES Above: Steppe Buzzard In keeping with the season of giving, we have quite a few stories this month about Pinelanders involved in service and welfare organisations, especially for animals – from BIRDS IN PINELANDS turtles in Malaysia to dogs and cats on our own streets. The “Prem Party” was held on Friday 6 November in Pinelands, Cape Town, in celebration of the lives of all the children born prematurely at the hospital over the last 10 years. LVPH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), all came together in the planning and the preparation for this special occasion.
