The boys ran out of the change rooms through a guard of honour made up from our senior players. A special sight to see and a reflection of the Burra’s dedication to the junior players. The boys played the whole ground, a low scoring game was had with plenty of work getting the ball up either end of the oval. While the Saints were first to put a score on the board, young Burra Seth Callaby was the first to put a goal on the board. Lewis Thomson played a ripper for his last game of the season, as his family has headed off to channel their inner Griswold’s on tour of Australia. Cousins Tosh Lennon and Noah Coutts showed off their family skills kicking and marking, and brothers Jack and Jess Fischer also displayed tackling runs in the family. Another set of brothers Johnno and Barney Baker made their debut on the field together. The team is off to a great start and we look forward to seeing the kids enjoy their footy in the season ahead.
