Am 23. Mai 2009 sicherten sich unsere Wölfe durch ein souveränes 5:1 gegen den SV Werder Bremen den Titel und sorgten dafür, dass eine ganze Region in grün-weiße Jubelstürme ausbrauch. Anlässlich des Jubiläums setzt sich das „Unter Wölfen Magazin“ natürlich besonders mit den Geschehnissen und Erinnerungen der Meistersaison auseinander. In Vorbereitung auf diese Ausgabe ging es gemeinsam mit VfL-Fan und Film-Regisseur Chris Krüger inklusive seines Teams nach Italien, um dort zwei frühere Wölfe zu treffen – eine Reise in die Vergangenheit. Das erste Ziel: Turin. Auf dem Vereinsgelände des italieni- schen Serienmeister Juventus freute sich der ehemalige VfL-Abwehrchef Andrea Barzagli über den Besuch aus seiner deutschen „Heimat“.
