Based on the Hit Film, This Hilarious New Musical Follows Dewey Finn, A Based on the hit film, this hilarious new musical follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher who turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. This high-octane smash features 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, all the original songs from the movie and musical theater’s first-ever kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage. LOCAL DETAILS: Venue: Fox Cities Performing Arts Center – Thrivent Financial Hall Dates: April 24-29, 2018 Times: Tuesday through Friday at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets for School of Rock are available now to Season Ticket Holders of the Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America - Fox Cities Series. Groups of 10 or more are also on sale now. Individual tickets will go on sale to the public approximately eight to twelve weeks before opening night. FACTS: The musical is based on the 2003 film starring Jack Black. The music is composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who has written more than 20 musicals including Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph…Dreamcoat and Cats. Opened on Broadway in December of 2015 and will begin its national tour in the fall of 2017.
