Animation Nation News Round-Up 2 JOSH Welcome back to Animation Nation’s News Round-up! I’m Josh and this is my stalwart companion Will! Say Hi Will. WILL Hi Will. JOSH Very Funny… On today’s segment we are going to cover the following topics: (graphic appears that show what they are going to be talking about) WILL Let’s start this off with the Ugly, Seven Deadly Sins SUCKS!!! (Insert Godfather) Since it’s move to studio DEEN the animation quality of the series has suffered greatly. And the fans have definitely noticed. With the most recent battle: Escanor vs Meliodas, being what many fans consider the major turning point in the series. Fans were outraged to see just how poorly the scene was animated. JOSH Yeah, fans were heated to say the least, and this caused many people to skip the fight entirely in favor of fan made animations of the fight. (Banter) JOsh Onto the Bad: There has been little to no news about JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean getting an anime adaptation. WILL However, this is not out of the ordinary. There is typically a two year gap between the anime releases, and if this holds true. We should be hearing news about the release date by late 2020 or Early 2021. Although what is not ordinary is the lack of news on the Return of Dragon Ball Super. JOSH That’s right, DBS is nowhere to be found. Even at Jump Festa, (which is the convention Toei and Shueisha make most of their Announcements revolving around Dragon Ball), no news has been revealed about any upcoming releases. Instead the announced the continuation of Dragon Ball DOKKAN BATTLE and season 2 of Dragon Ball Heroes. WILL This is even more unusual considering the major success of the recent chapters of the Manga. All we know is that the fans are chomping at the bit for more Dragon Ball and Toei is Blue balling them. (Banter) JOSH Time for the best part of the Segment, The Good News. Season 1 of the original Digimon series is getting a reboot and fans are hyped beyond belief for it.Most of the OG voice actors are returning as well, and there are rumors that the following seasons will also be getting rebooted as well. WILL The newest entry into the YUGIOH series was recently announced. Named Yugioh Sevens, the series announcement has been met with a lot of criticism. The cards that have been shown off have been considered either weak or rule breaking by many. JOSH And the animation style makes the characters look extremely childish and rudimentary which has turned off quite a few viewers. Will These anime Protagonists just keep getting younger and younger don’t they? Josh Yep, Just like your Taste in Women. Will Wait wh- JOSH Speaking of New entries, Digimon is getting a full reboot of the first season with the entire original cast returning to reprise their roles. There have been rumors about this series being rebooted but we finally got full confirmation in December. Hopefully, it lives up to the hype. WILL Lastly, The Goblin Slayer movie had its official Japanese release date on Feb .01, and it has been rated 8.5/10 by most outlets. Hopefully, we will get a Blu-ray release here in the US soon, because from what our sources have told us. This movie is a glorious bloodbath of action. .

Tarongers 4 46022 València Tel. ++34 605288430 Published in Animation: an Interdisciplinary Journal, 9(1). 2014 Abstract: The aim of this article is to show the relationship between Japanese folktales and Japanese anime as a genre, especially how the intertextuality with traditional tales and myth subvert its conventional use. To meet this goal I have used Toriyama’s successful Dragon Ball series, which has enjoyed continued popularity right from its first publication in the 1980s. I analyse the parallelism between Dragon Ball and a classic Chinese novel, Journey to the West, its main source. However, there are many other folkloric references present in Dragon Ball connected to religion and folktales. The author illustrates this relationship with examples taken from the anime that correspond to the traditional Japanese Folklore but that are used with a subversive goal which makes it a rich source for analysis and for Literary Education. ―Kiteretsu‖ is one of the very old Japanese cartoon show, and it is running for over 35 years now, and it is very popular among children. When I was child I used to love this show, because it was full of fun, and full of scientific wonders. ―Kiteretsu‖ is all about a story of a little boy named Kiteretsu, who liked to invent new things by reading his grandfather secret book. And the whole story moves around him that how he helps people with his inventions, and also how he gets into troubles because of his inventions. When I was a child I used to like this story, and it motivated me to built new things on my own, and it was fun. I like the character of ―Korusuke‖, who is the little robot friend of Kiteretsu. Korusuke is very cute, and he is a little samurai robot, he always tries to help other people, and he always make disturbance in Kiteretsu’s inventions. Other characters are cute also like ―Miyoko,Tongari,Buta Gorilla,Mr.Benzo‖. All of them are cute, and this show is very much educational, and it helps to teach our children to make their own mark in life, and it also helps to show the true friendship. Overall this show is very nice for children. When I was kid, I like the show, and after 25 years I still love to watch this show, it never becomes old for me; it is the best cartoon ever. Rating: 8 AnimeBakaChan I really liked Naruto! It's my favorite anime and I've seen A LOT!
