For virtually its entire 900 km length, the Kerala coast is lined with sandy beaches, rocky cape and palms. The azure waves’ washing the sandy shores is a picture perfect sight. The beaches, alluring, balmy and clean are ideal getaways that let you watch the pageantry of the wandering clouds, the changing hues of the sky and the glowing sun disappearing down the horizon. Race the waves; soak in the sun. Below are just some of the beaches in God’s Own Country.

Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach in Kerala. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages. This holiday is just 16 km from Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala.

Varkala, 50 km from Trivandrum, is one of the famous and upcoming beaches in South . It is famous for its quiet secluded stretch of pristine sand. The Papanasam beach in is known for its mineral springs and rocky cliffs. The 2000 year old Sree Janardhana Swamy temple and the Nature care centre are the two main attractions here.

Cherai beach is very near to the North Paravur town with golden beaches, coconut groves and backwaters. The maritime friend of humans, Dolphins can occasionally be sighted. Cherai is famous for sea food and ideal for swimming. This beach is known as the Romantic Beach of Kerala.
