The Shmoop engineering team has put together a state-of the-art (and very robust) reporting system we like to call Shmoop Analytics. Watch, and Learn! A Video Tutorial available at http://www.shmoop.com/video/analytics-tool/ So, here we go: 1. Find your Shmoop username and password. 2. Go to: http://www.shmoop.com/reports/accounts/stvrain/home/ 3. Sign in with your Shmoop username and password. Here's what Analytics can do for you: View user activity. One of your students logging on every day for three hours? Someone else checking in just long enough to earn his “Minimum Effort” badge for Shmoop Scouts? Shmoop Analytics will open a magical portal so you can see all your students' comings and goings. View student progress. Your students are taking the online drills. Great! But how are they doing? Use Analytics to get a sense of how well everyone is performing on the exams, and where they need work. Some of your students may be falling behind— now you can catch ‘em. Identify top schools, classrooms, and students using Shmoop. Feel like you’re alone in the Shmoop universe? Don’t be. Here you can see who else is in the same boat that you are. You can also keep an eye on them to make sure no one is hoarding the life vests. Print and export data. Let’s kill some trees, y’all! Online stuff is nice, but let’s be honest: sometimes you just need to hold the facts in your cold, dead hands. (You might want to invest in a new moisturizer.) Amuse yourself with graphs and charts. Shmoop has more tables and pie charts than we know what to do with. Take some off our hands. Please. That's it! These are the basics, but again, this is a very robust tool. If you have any questions, please reach out to me! Log into your Shmoop account and confirm access to test prep courses. 2. Click on My Profile in the upper right-hand corner. 3. In your My Shmoop page click on the Add Classroom button found on the left-hand side of the page. 4. NOTE: Each classroom can only be assigned one test prep course. 6. Click + Create Classroom and PRESTO! You’ve created a classroom. Inviting Students Into Your Classroom Choose one of the following two methods: 1. Invite students by email by sending e-mail invites to each of your students, giving them access to your classroom and course materials. OR 2. Students join your classroom using your classroom code. You will need your classroom code and the email address on your Shmoop account. The code is found on your classroom page (5 numbers or letters). **Students log in to their Shmoop accounts and click on the Join Classroom button. They will be asked to enter both the classroom code and e-mail address to join the class. You should then receive a request for your student on your classroom page.
