GENERAL STRATEGIES

• Internships are important! • Pilots should fly much as possible, and earn a variety of endorsements and ratings – potential employers want to see versatility, competency, and flight hours.

• Volunteer • Display confidence, good judgment, strong work ethic, adaptability, and enthusiasm. • Don’t let any aviation job be “beneath you”. Consider low-level entry positions at FBO’s, manufacturers, etc. to gain experience • Network. As with any profession, it’s all about who you know. Aviation is a small, tight- knit community – so don’t burn any bridges.
