Each instructor put their own particular emphasis and style on the course but it was always oriented toward forestry students until 2006. The lack of forestry majors as a result of the Agriculture Department not having a full time forestry instructor to recruit students and articulate with industry has resulted in a transformation of the NR 222 course. The clientele not only includes forestry major, but also landscape designers, environmental horticulture majors, nursery people, environmental science majors, and people interested in transforming their home and business landscapes to a more natural venue.

From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.

Since releasing their debut, Foxbase Alpha, in 1991, the London band have established a devoted following around the world. They recently released their ninth proper studio album, Home Counties, and will once again head out on the road. When asked why her creative relationship with bandmates Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs remains fruitful after two decades, Cracknell breaks it down. "I think we feel very free and easy in each other's company," she says. "Most importantly, we still have fun. That is so important. No one gets embarrassed about submitting an idea or anything.     APRIL - JUNE 2014 EVANGLISM JUMPSTARTS FOR PREACHING OUTREACH INITIATIVE Dear Fellow Undershepherds of the Savior: Blessings to you select few who are privileged to proclaim the crucified and risen Redeemer. May you do so with boldness, clarity and conviction. Not only is this my prayer, it is also the petition of many of God’s people who sit in the pews where the Holy Spirit has called upon you to serve. This I say with no little degree of confidence. I say it because many of your people send me letters, emails and visit with me personally. High on the list of their concerns is the state of Christianity in North America. Those who watch the religious news, and many of them do, are upset by the attacks which are being directed against the Savior, His preachers and His people. They are shocked that the common denominator for many Colleges, Courts and Comedians is a dislike and disregard for the Savior’s story of salvation. Even worse, our people are saddened to see one denomination after another compromise their traditional doctrinal, and Scriptural positions so they might become more acceptable to the world . I give thanks that so many within our membership are coming together and saying, “Sir, we would see Jesus.” It us our privileged calling to encourage believers in the faith even as we do our best to reach out to the lost.
