Maryam Magazine APRIL - JUNE 2018 ISSUE 26 AS FOR THE GIRLS THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED ‘SPECIAL’ IF THEIR ATTIRE AND THEIR PURDAH ARE SUCH THAT THEY ARE A REFLECTION OF TRUE ISLAMIC TEACHINGS TO THE EXTENT THAT WHEN OTHERS SEE THEM, THEY ENVY THEM AND SAY THAT INDEED, DESPITE LIVING IN THIS SOCIETY, THEIR ATTIRE AND PURDAH ARE EXCEPTIONALLY OUTSTANDING Friday Sermon delivered by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Vaba, 28th October 2016 Ten conditions of Bai’at I The initiate shall solemnly promise that he/she shall abstain from shirk [associating any partner with God] right up to the day of his/her death. II That he/she shall keep away from falsehood, fornication/adultery, trespasses of the eye, debauchery, dissipation, cruelty, dishonesty, mischief and rebellion; and that he/she will not permit himself/herself to be carried away by passions, however strong they might be. III That he/she shall regularly offer the five daily Prayers in accordance with the commandments of God and the Holy Prophet Muhammadsaw and shall try his/her best to be regular in offering the tahajjud and invoking durud on the Holy Prophet Muhammadsaw. That he/she shall make it his/her daily routine to ask forgiveness for his/her sins, to remember the bounties of God and to praise and glorify Him. IV That under the impulse of any passions, he/she shall cause no harm whatsoever to the creatures of God in general and Muslims in particular, neither by his/her tongue, hands, nor any other means. V That he/she shall remain faithful to God in all circumstances of life, in sorrow and in happiness, in adversity and in prosperity, in felicity and in trial; and that he/she shall in all conditions remain resigned to the decree of God and keep himself/ herself ready to face all kinds of indignities and sufferings in His way and shall never turn away from Him at the onslaught of any misfortune; on the contrary, he/she shall march forward. VI That he/she shall refrain from following unIslamic customs and lustful inclinations and shall completely submit himself/herself to the authority of the Holy Qur’an; and that he/she shall make the Word of God and the sayings of the Holy Prophet Muhammadsaw his/her guiding principles in every walk of his/her life. VII That he/she shall entirely give up pride and vanity and shall pass all his/her life in humbleness, cheerfulness, forbearance and meekness. VIII That he/she shall hold faith, the honour of faith and the cause of Islam dearer than his/her life, wealth, honour, children, and all loved ones. IX That he/she shall keep himself/herself occupied in the service of God’s creatures for His sake only and shall endeavour towards the beneficence of mankind to the best of his/her God-given abilities and powers. X That he/she shall enter into a bond of brotherhood with this humble servant of God, pledging obedience to me in everything good for the sake of God, and remain faithful to it until the day of his/her death. That he/she shall exert such a high devotion in the observance of this bond as is not to be found in any other worldly relationship and connection that demand devoted dutifulness. From the Editor... This drive towards self-reformation should Soumbal Qureshi not diminish with the celebrations of Eid, but instead the Jihad of our souls should continue all year round. As nations are disuniting today, we must pray Adeeba Tahir for peace to transcend this earth. He will bring about its end and follow it with Khilafat on the precepts of prophethood for as long as He shall will and then bring about its end. A tyrannical monarchy will then follow and will remain as long as Allah shall will and then come to an end. There will follow thereafter monarchial despotism to last as long as Allah shall will and come to an end upon His decree. There will then emerge Khilafat on precept of Prophethood.” The Holy Prophet said no more (Masnad Ahmad) (www.alislam.org, Library, Articles, Ahadith, Prophecy of the Holy Prophet Muhammadsaw – Khilafat) RITINGS OF THE PROMISED MESSIAH (as) THE SECOND MANIFESTATION ‘‘So dear friends! Since it is the Sunnatullah, from time immemorial, that God Almighty shows two Manifestations so that the two false joys of the opponents be put to an end, it is not possible now that God should relinquish His Sunnah of old. So do not grieve over what I have said to you; nor should your hearts be distressed. For it is essential for you to witness the second Manifestation also, and its Coming is better for you because it is everlasting the continuity of which will not end till the Day of Judgement.

    Tarbiyyat Slide Hazrat Mirza Bashir ud deen Mahmood Ahmad (ra) Al-Musleh Maud The Prophecy of Musleh Maud hadصىل هللا عليه وسلم In a Hadith, the Holy Prophet Muhammad • prophesized that the Imam Mahdi will marry and will be bestowed with a progeny • The Promised Messiah(as) gave the following explanation of this Hadith: - The Imam Mahdi will be bestowed with a pious son who will be on the same level of spirituality as his father - That son will be among the highly esteemed ones in the eyes of Allah - That son will be the successor of his father and will advocate for the truth of Islam • In the times of the Promised Messiah(as), Islam was facing attacks from followers of other religions • Therefore, in 1886, the Promised Messiah(as) spent 40 days in complete seclusion to pray for a Divine sign in support of the truth of Islam • As a result of this secluded praying, He received several magnificent revelations and published an announcement on February 20, 1886 in which He stated: - God has honored him with the disclosure of many matters with regard to the unknown - One of the disclosures was about the advent of a son with many distinctive characteristics • Within 9 years of making this announcement, the Promised Messiah(as) was bestowed with this promised son • In Jama’at-e-Ahmadiyya, this promised son is also known as Musleh Maud (The Promised Reformer) Childhood and Early Life • He was on 12th January 1889 in Qadian • He was the eldest son of the promised Messiah(as) from his second wife, Hazrat Nusrat Jahan Begum(ra).

Darin lässt sich auch jenes wunderschöne Gebet finden, welches bereits von Kindheit an gelernt wird und uns in der Schul- und Studentenzeit bis hin zum hohen Alter begleitet: ْ ْ رب زد ِْن ِّعل ًما َ ِّ ِّ ِّ „O mein Herr, mehre mich an Wissen.“ (Sure Tâ-Hâ (20): 115) Wir können uns als glücklich schätzen und wir können Allah auch nicht mit tausend Dank gerecht werden für die Möglichkeit, die Er uns gewährt hat, indem Er uns in die Gemeinde des Verheißenen eintreten gelassen und uns zum Teilhaber لىهلوهللالصللى وهللاللصمل Messias jener Quelle allen Wissens werden gelassen hat – der Khilafat-e- 3 3 Ahmadiyya.

    Der Heilige Koran ________________ „Verheißen hat Allah denen unter euch, die glauben und gute Werke tun, dass Er sie gewisslich zu Nachfolgern auf Erden machen wird, wie Er jene, die vor ihnen waren, zu Nachfolgern machte; und dass Er gewisslich für sie ihre Religion befestigen wird, die Er für sie auserwählt hat; und dass Er gewisslich ihren (Stand), nach ihrer Furcht, in Frieden und Sicherheit verwandeln wird: Sie werden Mich verehren, (und) sie werden Mir nichts zur Seite stellen. Im gesamten Text wurde das Wort Namaz als solches übernommen und nicht etwa mit „Gebet“ übersetzt. Das Namaz ist eine spezielle Form des Gebetes. Das Wort „Dua“ hingegen ist allgemeiner Natur. Deswegen wurde es mit Gebet übersetzt. 2. Nachdem die Namen von Propheten und anderen Heilligen Persönlichkeiten des Islams ausgesprochen werden, bringt der Muslim diesen Persönlichkeiten Respekt entgegen, indem er bestimmte arabische Ausdrücke verwendet. The Movement he started is an embodiment of the benevolent message of Islam – peace, universal brotherhood, and submission to the Will of God – in its pristine purity. Hadhrat Ahmadas proclaimed Islam as the religion of man: “The religion of the people of the right path” (98:6).The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was created under divine guidance with the objective to rejuvenate Islamic moral and spiritual values. It encourages interfaith dialogue, diligently defends Islam and tries to correct misunderstandings about Islam in the West. It advocates peace, tolerance, love and understanding among followers of different faiths. It firmly believes in and acts upon the Qur’anic teaching: “There is no compulsion in religion” (2:257). It strongly rejects violence and terrorism in any form and for any reason.
