LASD Fare Inspectors Now Aboard Metro Rail (May 29, 2003) Fare inspectors have been deployed on the Metro Red Line this week under a partnership between MTA and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to supplement law enforcement on Metro Rail. Transit Police Chief Urges Employees to be Alert (May 28, 2003) With the nation’s terrorist threat alert level now set at “Orange,” Transit Police Chief Dan Finkelstein is asking MTA employees to “maintain a heightened interest in their surroundings.” UPDATE: FY-04 Budget, Fare Restructuring Approved at May Board Meeting Memorial Service Set, May 28, for SCRTD’s John Dyer (May 22, 2003) A memorial service celebrating the life of former SCRTD General Manager John A. Dyer is scheduled Wednesday, May 28. Paleontologists Unearth Mammoth Tusk Fossil on MTA Property (May 21, 2003) Paleontologists working on MTA property have unearthed a small section of a mammoth tusk approximately 10,000 to 70,000 years old. MTA has donated the fossil, which is believed to date to the late Pleistocene era, to the Museum of Natural History of Los Angeles County for study and preservation. FY-04 Budget, Fare Restructuring Lead May Board Agenda (May 20, 2003) Adoption of the FY 2004 budget and a motion to restructure Metro fares for the first time in eight years are likely to dominate Thursday’s MTA Board meeting, but there are other items of interest on the agenda.

    PAGE 1 PAR K PLAN Disney California Adventure® Park 1-Day Hopper Plan Disneyland® Park is the first theme park Walt Disney created and remains heavy on the nostalgia — with classic rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Disney California Adventure® Park is the place to find popular Disney, Pixar and super hero attractions such asGuardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, Radiator Springs Racers and Incredicoaster. With so many attractions, we recommend planning at least two days to explore the parks. Plan to arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes ahead of opening so you are one of the first to enter the park (arrive an hour and 30 minutes early to park if you are driving). We suggest visiting the highest priority rides in the morning when waits are lowest. During the initial reopening phase at Disneyland® Resort, some services or benefits may be temporarily unavailable, as well as other entertainment and experiences (such as traditional character greetings). However, as of July 4, 2021, Mickey’s Mix Magic is back! Single Rider lines for popular attractions have returned, character cavalcades are popping up and modified character dining experiences are slowly coming back toDisneyland ® Resort. Additional experiences and rides may also be modified or temporarily unavailable during this time. There are several things to take into consideration that could affect your park plan: • Your callback time for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure • Virtual queues for other attractions (when in use) • If you have reservations for restaurants or experiences, such as Savi’s Workshop • Ride closures • Park hours/crowd levels • Weather • Your own personal interests and ages, heights and interests of children Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park Single Rider Attractions: Single Rider lines are an excellent choice for those guests who don’t mind splitting up their party in exchange for a shorter wait time.

These positions may be up to 80% reimbursable under the FTA grant program in the budget year and out years. A key component of the PUC's mission is to ensure public safety. This request would bring the number of inspectors in line with the growth of transit infrastructure and ridership to increase public and transit employee safety. The number of rail transit systems has increased from 12 in 2009, to 14 systems with 500 miles of track in 2015. Ridership in the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (LACMTA) system alone has increased 25 percent: from 327 million in 2009 and 408 million in 2013, to over 500 million in 2015.
