GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING BAND AMERICA TO PLAY MYSTIC LAKE NOV. 14

PRIOR LAKE, Minn. – June 24, 2019 – With almost a half-century of experience creating timeless music, touring new venues and captivating audiences around the world, classic-rock favorite AMERICA is coming to the Mystic Showroom on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. Popular across generations and widely known for their eclectic range of musical hits, AMERICA is a band capable of transcending borders with uplifting music and positive messages. The show at Mystic Lake is part of the band’s 50th Anniversary Tour, launched in January 2019.
Massive success found AMERICA quickly, ignited by their first number-one single entitled “A Horse With No Name” off their 1971 self-titled debut album. Other widely renowned singles from the iconic group include “I Need You”, “Ventura Highway”, “Don’t Cross the River”, “Tin Man”, “Lonely People” and “Sister Golden Hair”. In 1973, AMERICA won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist of 1972. The band was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2006.
