In this study, Protective clothing consists of two layers: outer layer and cloth lining. Will be evaluated for the effectiveness of thermal comfort properties 7 different fabrics will be used: 100%Nomex, 50% Nomex\50%Wool, 100%wool, 65% polyester\35%viscose, 100% microfiber polyester, 50 %cotton\50%polyester and 100%cotton are tested for thermal Resistance, air permeability, water vapor resistance, weight and thickness. The fabrics which have the best properties were used to cloth lining for protective clothing. For the outer layer: 100%Nomex, 50% Nomex\50%Wool, 100%wool fabrics were tested for thermal comfort such as: flame resistant, thermal Transmittance, heat loss and the fabric that have the best properties was used to make outer layer of protective clothing. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of clothing fit and material of Islamic sportswear for female on physiological responses and body heat balance during exercise in warm and humid environment. Twelve healthy female students (20.3±0.4 years) exercised wearing four types of women’s Islamic sportswear comprised of two level of clothing fit: loose-fit and tight-fit, and two types of material for sportswear: cotton and polyester on four separate occasions, and in random order. They performed a 30-min treadmill exercise at an intensity of 70% HRmax and then rested on a chair for 20 min for recovery in a chamber set at an ambient temperature of 34°C and relative humidity of 80%. The results showed that clothing fit did not significantly affect physiological and subjective responses, but clothing material did; sportswear made of cotton resulted in a higher increase of tympanic temperature during exercise and recovery compared to that made of polyester (P<0.05). In addition, sportswear made of cotton have lower conductive and evaporative heat loss than sportswear made of polyester (P<0.05). Clothing fit only had significant effect on conductive heat loss; that is tight-fit sportswear showed greater conductive heat loss than loose-fit one (P <0.05). -

The main purpose was to see if such a material can accepted by consumers as a clothing material. Twenty-one female consumers participated in the study which consisted of tactile exploration, a semi-structured interview on materials and a web-based survey on their knowledge and behavior about fashion consumption as well as their personality traits with respect to being Style or Fashion oriented as described by Gwozdz, Gupta and Gentry (2015). -

The schedule per the PPA Scope of Work (SOW), is as follows: The remedial actions will be phased to address higher priority areas first (identified above) and immediate redevelopment needs. Lower priority objectives, such as abatement or containment of non- friable hazardous building materials, removal or capping of onsite contamination determined not to be an immediate threat to human health or the environment, and areas associated with longer term redevelopment horizons, would be addressed as funding becomes available and redevelopment of the property occurs. A conceptual/flexible timeline for redevelopment of the property, including for the associated environmental investigations and remediation needed to facilitate the planned phased development will be prepared. Such timeline is anticipated to consist of: 1. Prepare an Initial Summary Report within 60 days from date of signed Consent Order. The report will summarize previous environmental investigations. It shall include at a minimum, a screening of site data against risk-based criteria, a conceptual site model (including a conceptual site hydrogeologic model), a discussion of data gaps needed to complete a site characterization in accordance OAR 340-122-0080, identification of potential interim remedial measures, source control recommendations, and conclusions. -

History of the Siletz Historical Perspective The purpose of this section is to discuss the historic difficulties suffered by ancestors of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians (hereinafter Siletz Indians or Indians). It is also to promote understanding of the ongoing effects and circumstances under which the Siletz people struggle today. Since time immemorial, a diverse number of Indian tribes and bands peacefully inhabited what is now the western part of the State of Oregon. The Siletz Tribe includes approximately 30 of these tribes and bands.1 Our aboriginal land base consisted of 20 million acres located from the Columbia to the Klamath River and from the Cascade Range to the Pacific Ocean. The arrival of white settlers in the Oregon Government Hill – Siletz Indian Fair ca. 1917 Territory resulted in violations of the basic principles of constitutional law and federal policy. The 1787 Northwest Ordinance set the policy for treatment of Indian tribes on the frontier. Navigation Leaving OIMB, our first stop is Bastendorff Beach, a short drive over Coos Head. Oregon Beach dynamics The Oregon Coast is highly active, with one of the most energetic wave climates (Figure 1‐2) in the world, and all of that energy pushes a lot of sand around. We all learned about longshore drift in Geo 101, but the pattern in Oregon is fundamentally different. Oregon’s coast is broken into a series of “pocket beach” littoral cells, long stretches of dune or bluff‐backed beach bounded by rocky headlands that extend into water that is deep enough to block sediment transport around the ends of the headlands. There are also large differences in the direction and energy of summer versus winter waves (Figure 1‐3); highly energetic winter waves erode the beaches and move sand offshore to form sand bars, while gentler summer waves restore the sand to the beaches. Within each cell, sand also moves north or south depending on the prevailing wave directions and in response to climate events such as El Nino’s. Here at Bastendorf beach we see evidence for this intra‐cell movement in the form of dramatic accretion of the beach since the construction of the south jetty in the early 1900’s. The beach rapidly accreted (Figure 1‐3) until about 1967, and has reached some state of equilibrium since then.
