Remillong, of Half Moon Bay, handily dominated her op- ponents in the first two days of competition in the Senior Games women’s 55-59 horseshoes. With 11 preliminary round games played, Remillong is a perfect 11-0, with her narrowest victory coming by 15 points. She played five matches Thursday, winning the five by a combined score of 307-109. Remillong displayed incredible accuracy, holding by far the highest ringer percentage. In horseshoes, a ringer is the term for a thrown horseshoe that completely surrounds the stake. While Remillong’s competitors have ringer percentages in the twenties, meaning they throw ringers slightly over twenty percent of the time, Remillong had ringer percentages on Thursday of 56.7, 60 and 70 percent. Her lowest of the day was a 53.3 percent. “I just go in and stand where I feel like I’m going to make the ringers,” said Remillong. “It’s just natural.” Even more demoralizing for her opponents, Remillong (continued on page 7) Longtime partners take gold in tennis Virginia team cruises to victory in women's 70-75 age group By Kylie Sloan Veronica Weber Sylvia Will returns a shot in her doubles match Thursday with partner Anita Murchie, not shown, in the 70-74 age group After four grueling matches in the Palo Alto heat Thursday, at the Senior Games. Our volunteers are the heart of the Games, just like they were at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney — and we could not have produced the 2009 Games without everyone’s help. Our goal for the Games has been to provide the “best competitive conditions for athletes” and to send all our visitors home with great memories of incredible experiences in Palo Alto, Stanford and Northern California. And, we are proud to say, thanks to the ’09 volunteers and the community, we have achieved this goal. — Anne Warner Cribbs, President and CEO 2009 Senior Games Jane Abbott Nicole Borda Molly Chen Sherry Deveaux Andrew Fowler Michael Hammond Anika Jhalani Kurt Langeland Grace Mah Rachel Moore Michael Peck Tex Ronning Kayla Skidmore Melissa Trousdale Al Winder Mikey Abrams Frankie Borison Erica Chen Amanda Devine Isobel Fox Sara Hammond Yan Jia Bobie Laporte Jack Major Debbie Moore Kathy Pedrini Rusty Rose Yvonne Skitt Joyce Truong Patty Wineman Swati Acharya Natalie Boro Albert Chen Ashley Devore Michael Francisco Richard Hanke Ming Jia Carol Langham Graeme Mallace Gabriel Morales Rolph Janine Peery Dona Rose Cara Skourtis Pam TruSwell Margie Winter Danny Ackerman Susan Bostian Benson Chen Jeff Dewey Liz Frank Les Hankins Jr Meng Jiang Heather Larkin Ian Mallace Vicki Moran Vozza Vicki Pelton Cynthia Rosedale Katie Sladewski Eric Tsao Elizabeth Witte Suraj Adhikari Debra Bouler Helen Chen Doug Dexter Julie Franke Nancy Hannibal Chris Jin Bri’ Larrimore Val Mallace Kelly Morariu Kern Peng Aaron Rosenstock Alex Slosberg Manhei Tse Roberta Witte Marsha Adler Karin Bouler Alex Cheng Avery Diamond Marina Fraser Veronika Hansen Carrie Johnson Elaine Larson Harrison Mamin Barbara Morgan Kim Perez Abby Ross Mike Slyter Ronald Tse Andrew Wohl Nancy Adler Barbara Bowden Christopher Chang Susan Dias Jimmy Frazier Cynthia Hanson Kelly Johnson Maddie Larson Gary Manalang June Mori Dick Perez Cameron Rost John Smerdon Victoria Tse Carla Wohlforth Laurie Agrillo Brance Bowen Jessica Cheng Jarrod Diaz Sarah French Robert Hanson Kelley Johnson Donna Lashgari Arthur Mangalus Sami Mori Anna Perin Nikolaus Rost Joann Smith Robert Tseng Mary J Wolf Arlene Aguilar Patricia Bowers Gary Cheng Wagner Diaz Teri Friedlander Ed Harada LynnEa Johnson Bob Laskin Krista Mangan Taryn Morris Judy Perlstein Shannon Rost Duane Smith Kate Tseng Alex Wong Tanya Ahern Karen Boyd Dennis Chia Alisa Dichter Mel Froli Kitty Harada Tyler Hohnson Norma Laskin Michael Mangiantini Jack Morris Paul Perret Bridget Rost Elly Smith Kitty Tu Bonny Wong Bob Ahern James Boyett Wei-Chun Chiang Emma Difilippo Haohuan Fu Susan Hardenbrook Zuberi Johnson Peiley Lau Claire Manhart Jack Morton Marcia E Perry Amrina Rosyada Carol Smith Laura Tuchman Minnie Wong Yasaman Ahmadieh Daniel Boyle Joanne Chien Allison Difilippo Andrew Fujihara Maynard Harding Molly Johnston Bert Laurence Grant Manley Neill Moseley Sandy Peters Irwin Roth Ali Smith Carl Tuck Andrew Wong Nazanin Ahmadieh Chuck BradLey Barbara Childs Anupam Dikshit Ginny Fujihara Monica Hardy Katelyn Johnstone Michael Lavelle Juliana Manoliu Nora Mosqueda Nancy Peters Debby Roth Jared Smith David Tuipulotu Julia Wong Anjali Ahuja Cheryl Brady Joshua Chin Robert Dilfer Virginia Fujihara Diane Hardy Nitika Johri Linda Law Jone Manoogian Kenji Motobayashi Tamar Petrosian Joan Rubano Strether Smith Elizabeth Tunney Lily Wong Monica Chitre Sallie Harkins Norman ManoogIan Mary Ruddell Amy Aken Pam Brandes Reginald Dillard Sr Pat Fujii Anish Johri Anita Layne Ariana Mott Yeang Shin Phay Aileen Smith Mike Turbow Jeff Wong Hena Akhtar Leslie Braun Susan Chiu Dave Fujii Dennis Harkins Marilee Lazar Dick Mansfield Sally Phillips Mary Rudkin Will Turner Gregory Ding Clay Jones Michael Mou Nina Smith Shirley Wong Jide Alabi Teresa Bravo Wei Chiu Fiona Ding Yuto Fukumoto Tracycarol Harper Joyce Jones Amanda Le Paloma Mansour Mitchell Mou Jim Phillips Jamila Rufaro Mystique Alissa Turnipseed Geoffrey Wong Ralph Albert Claire Bresnahan Rita Chiu Winnie Ding Shubhangi Ginger Harris Neil Jones Vanessa Lea Kaiyu Mao Jack Moynihan Alma Phillips Paula Rugg Smith-Bentley Pamela Turpen Christy Woo Ronald Albrecht Valeicia Briggs Lilly Cho Maribelle Dionisio Fulambarkar Melanie Harris Nigel Jones Denise Leader David Mao Martin Mueller Sura (Diana) Phoenix Letitia Ruiz Jessica Smits Ellen Uhrbrock Marge Wood Luz Aldama Beverly Bright Jocelyn Chong Kit Annette Diresta Mrunmai Richard Harrison Rickey Jordan Lloyd Leanse Sam Mapa Judith Muigai Anabel Pieper Evelyn Ruiz Tom Snodgrass Claire Umeda Allen Wood Allison Aldrich Donald Briglia Aya Chow Tina Dirienzo Fulambarkar Tamara Hartl Edward Joson Audrey Lee Barbara Marcum Chuck Muir Helene Pier Rory Runser Darlene Snodgrass Mary Underhill April Wood Steven Aldrich Steven Brocksen Charlotte Tara Dixon Nilija Fulambarkar Carolyn Hasker Teresa Judd Ying Lee Debra Mardesich John Mullane Matthew Pierce Bruce Runyan Emily So Mary Urbachg Jeffrey Allen Ricki Brocksen Christensen George Dobbs Nidia Funes Barbara Hatton Shireen Kaboli Simon Lee Sunny Margerum Siegrid Munda Mary K.
