MONTHLY STATISTICAL REPORT for the Month of MARCH 2014 MONTHLY STATISTICAL REPORT SUMMARY for the month of MARCH 2014 BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT (BWI) COMMENTARY AND ANALYSIS MARCH 2014 1) Total passengers using BWI Marshall deccreased 4.2% in March 2014 compared to March of 2013. 2) Passengers using the three Washington area airports were down 3.8% for the month. 3) Severe winter weather at BWI and at key hubs such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and Dallas negatively impacted passenger figures for the month. 4) In addition, the timing of the Easter holiday in 2014 compared to 2013 also impacted BWI Marshall passenger figures in March. 5) Total passenger traffic at BWI Marshall over the past 12 months decreased 1.8% to 22,266,080 passengers.
