Wild 94.1'S ORLANDO DAVIS BRINGS the FUNK for THE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 20, 2015 MEDIA CONTACT: J.J. Paone, 727-563-8807, [email protected] WiLD 94.1’S ORLANDO DAVIS BRINGS THE FUNK FOR THE TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING PLAYOFF RUN ST. PETERSBURG, FL – The entire Tampa Bay area is buzzin’ with excitement as the Tampa Bay Lightning continues their run towards the Stanley Cup in the NHL playoffs. WiLD 94.1’s morning show host and Program Director, Orlando Davis, started feeling extra funky after the Lightning beat the Montreal Canadians to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals to play the New York Rangers. His musical mojo started flowing and he created a remix of the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars hit song Uptown Funk. Orlando spun it to Uptown Puck creating an anthem for the Lightning playoff run. “It’s an exciting time, for the Lightning and the Bay. They have an enormous and loyal fan base, and many support WiLD 94.1! So, when one of our team said Uptown Puck would be witty, I started writing with Bruno’s record in mind and 10 minutes later, we were recording!” said Orlando Davis. The song has been added into the music rotation on WiLD 94.1 and posted online at WiLD941.com for fans to enjoy. Since 1980, the National Main Street Center has been working with communities across the nation to revitalize their historic or traditional commercial areas. The Main Street program is designed to improve all aspects of the downtown. The Main Street approach has rekindled entrepreneurship, downtown cooperation and civic concern. It has earned national recognition as a practical means of utilizing and improving a community’s local resources and conditions. Because it is a locally driven program, all of what is done stems from local issues and concerns. The City of Clearwater was designated a Florida Main Street Community in August 1998. The program utilizes the Main Street four-point approach using the Joint Venture as its organizational branch. The Joint Venture is made up of a City Council (formerly Commission) appointed member, the Executive Director of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), the Downtown Development Board (DDB) Chairperson, co-chairpersons from the Design, Economic Development and Promotion committees and the Main Street Program Coordinator.
