This paper aims to explore factors impacting Vietnamese soci.en.11.1.1889.2021 international students’ satisfaction in Taiwan universities. The study was based on a process design of two sub-studies. Study 1 was qualitative research with focus group discussion, and open- ended survey questions were applied to explore essential factors of Vietnamese international students’ perception of their satisfaction. Also, it found that Taiwan universities; Vietnamese scholarship-sponsored students had lower satisfaction than self- international students supporting students. These findings could provide theoretical and practical implication as it addresses the lack of research on international students’ satisfaction with universities in host countries. Also, practitioners could find interesting points from this paper to design marketing strategies for international student recruitment.

    Overview of the International Higher Education Scholarship Program International education and training has always been one of the core operations among the TaiwanICDF’s many functions. Human resource development programs play a vital role in assisting partner countries achieve sustainable development, and education is one of the crucial mechanisms in training workforces in developing countries. When the TaiwanICDF implements any cooperation project, it pays attention to education and training for program sustainability. The TaiwanICDF does this to ensure that its work will result in tangible long-term benefits and help as many people as possible. The TaiwanICDF’s early human resource training programs consisted primarily of short- term workshops with specialized topics. These workshops focused on the most relevant and advantageous elements of Taiwan’s development, transmitting Taiwan’s successful experiences to government officials and professionals of Taiwan’s diplomatic allies. The plan to promote the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program was first started with the intent to train agricultural professionals. This was later extended to other research fields to diversify the overall scholarship program.
