Auckland Airport Tips for arriving and go to Wellington or Palmerston North 1. Getting off your plane After getting off the plane, look for “Passport control & Bag claim” sign and go left. Passing through the gate of New Zealand’s Maori culture. Through the duty-free commodity area. 2.Passport control Go through passport control, have your passport, ticket, arrival card and boarding pass ready. *Visa waive may require for some countries. 3.Bag claim Look for “Bag claim & Domestic transfers” sign and go downstairs to pick up your baggage. 4.Customs / Biosecurity check Go to customs and give them the completed passenger arrival card. Complete the card while you are on the plane. Fill in as much as you can. If you are not sure leave it blank. There are two lanes “Nothing to Declare” and “Declare”. Select lane to declare or nothing to declare. If you are not sure go to “Declare” lane. 5.Walk or take a free Terminal shuttle bus From Ground floor of the International Terminal, go outside and find the green line (10 minutes walk to the domestic terminal) or wait 15 minutes for the free shuttle bus. 6.Domestic flight check in Find the airline counter in the domestic terminal and check in the baggage. Look for the gate number and wait to fly to Wellington or Palmerston North.
