Christmas in Trellech and Penallt Christmas greetings from the Vicar It seems as if we have only just finished Harvest lunch and now we are almost into mince pies and mulled wine. how quickly it all comes round again. On the surface it all seems the same. The same church services, the same parties being planned and the same jobs to be done at home before Christmas arrives and we will probably all have the same Christmas dinner. But is it all just the same? For some, maybe, but for others Christmas Friends of will be very different to how it has been before. For some it will be the first Christmas without someone they love, for Trellech Church others it will be the first Christmas with a baby in the house, and for others the first Christmas married, or living away from home, or without family visiting. Things do change and when and Churchyard they do, it is good to find the deeper unchanging things Christmas brings with it. The unchanging love of God, a deep rooted hope that brings us all back to the babe in the manger. The promise of new light, hope, peace, in a world and in lives that do experience change from year to year. As this letter Christmas Quiz encourages people to reflect on the changes in their life and the St Nicholas Church Trellech constant presence of God’s love in all those changes, so the Christmas message of Peace and Good Will challenges us to Tuesday, 6th December 2016 also reflect on the changing world and the many in it, who 7.30 pm without our help will find themselves untouched by Christmas. As we remember the Christ Child who came to bring good news to all people, may we all find it in our hearts to be generous in our giving this Christmas, not just to our family, Entrance Licensed Bar and our friends, but to the stranger as well. And may that be the source of all joy and blessing. £2.50/person available John and I wish you all a peaceful, blessed Christmastide. Sandra. .

Box Tree Cottage, Catbrook Road Catbrook NP16 6NQ £325,000 Freehold Box Tree Cottage, Catbrook Road Catbrook Chepstow Gwent NP16 6NQ The tranquil village hamlet of Catbrook is located within the Wye Valley which has an AONB status. Its within easy commuting distance of both Chepstow and Monmouth being midway between the two very popular market towns. Both towns have a good level of educational facilities and local services you would expect from busy High Streets. Catbrook village has a strong community spirit where many of its functions are centred at the village hall. Catbrook is a highly sought after area and contains a good mixture of contemporary homes which intermingle with the older, more traditional cottage style properties. To some extent the residents rely on the primary schools of Llandogo and Trellech while at the former and at Tintern there are several general stores for essentials. It should be noted that there are several private schools at both towns, perhaps the best known being the Haberdashers (Boys and Girls Schools) at Monmouth. The property which is of conventional stone construction and white painted beneath a slate roof, is set back from the village road being screened by mature hedgerow. In recent times there has been outline planning consent which was sourced and obtained for the construction of a single dwelling within the rear of the gardens and the access via the driveway. Outline Planning is pending renewal. Entrance Hall Entered via UPVC double glazed entrance door. UPVC Dining Room Kitchen double glazed window to front. Wall mounted radiator.
