They flew from Durban to Newcastle , to tour this country, offering their unique dance, vocal harmonies and workshops to schools and organisations. Their flyer reads; “ Eleven extremely fit, professional, creative and artistic dancers and musicians will share with young people the energy and beauty of their movements and the wondrous harmonies produced by their powerful voices.” They came into the school Hall in full Zulu costume, dancing, singing and putting on a great show for our children. Our Early Years and Foundation classes were mesmerised; the Primary children were excited and thrilled and the Secondary and 6th Form students were delighted and amazed by the spectacle of their show. After their hour long performance, they changed into tracksuits and delivered a range of workshops with pupils of all ages, and offered practical experience in Music, Dance, Art and Culture. Everyone talked about how brilliant the day was, and staff commented on it being the best group we have had in school in a long time.
