The full results were: Pat Glass, Labour 18,539 Owen Temple, Liberal Democrat 10,927 Michelle Tempest, Conservative 8,752 Watts Stelling, Independent 2,472 Michael Stewart, British National Party 1,852 Andrew McDonald, UK Independence Party 1,259 The turnout was 62%.
