E-NEWS LETTER UDYAM REGISTRATION PORTAL Except this portal of Government of India and Government's Single Window Systems, no other private online or offline system, service, agency or person is authorized or entitled to do MSME Registration or undertake any of the activity related with the process. Important to Know An enterprise shall be classified as a micro, small or medium enterprise on the basis of the following criteria, namely: -- (i) A micro enterprise, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed one crore rupees and turnover does not exceed five crore rupees; (ii) A small enterprise, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed ten crore rupees and turnover does not exceed fifty crore rupees; and (iii) A medium enterprise, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed fifty crore rupees and turnover does not exceed two hundred and fifty crore rupees. Must Know Government has organised a full system of Facilitation for Registration Process An enterprise for the purpose of this process will be known as Udyam and its Registration Process will be known as 'Udyam Registration' A permanent registration number will be given after registration. After completion of the process of registration, a certificate will be issued online. This certificate will have a dynamic QR Code from which the web page on our Portal and details about the enterprise can be accessed. There will be no need for renewal of Registration. Our single window systems at Champions Control Rooms and at DICs will help you in the process. Registration Process is totally free. No Costs or Fees are to be paid to anyone. MSME DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE, CHENNAI. E-NEWS LETTER No documents or proof are required to be uploaded for registering an MSME. Only Adhaar Number will be enough for registration. PAN & GST linked details on investment and turnover of enterprises will be taken automatically from Government data bases. Our online system will be fully integrated with Income Tax and GSTIN systems. Having PAN & GST number is mandatory from 01.04.2021. Those who have EM-II or UAM registration or any other registration issued by any authority under the Ministry of MSME, will have to re-register themselves. No enterprise shall file more than one Udyam Registration. However, any number of activities including manufacturing or service or both may be specified or added in one Registration. FACILITATION AND GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL OF ENTERPRISES The Champions Control Rooms functioning in various institutions and offices of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises including the Development Institutes (MSME-DI) shall act as Single Window Systems for facilitating the registration process and further handholding the micro, small and medium enterprises in all possible manner. The District Industries Centres (DICs) will also act as Single Window facilitation Systems in their Districts. Any person who is not able to file the Udyam Registration for any reason including for lack of Aadhaar number, may approach any of the above Single Window Systems for Udyam Registration purposes with his Aadhaar enrolment identity slip or copy of Aadhaar enrolment request or bank photo pass book or voter identity card or passport or driving licence and the Single Window Systems will facilitate the process including getting an Aadhaar number and thereafter in the further process of Udyam Registration. In case of any discrepancy or complaint, the General Manager of the District Industries Centre of the concerned District shall undertake an enquiry for verification of the details of Udyam Registration submitted by the enterprise and thereafter forward the matter with necessary remarks to the Director or Commissioner or Industry Secretary concerned of the State Government who after issuing a notice to the enterprise and after giving an opportunity to present its case and based on the findings, may amend the details or recommend to the Ministry of Micro, Small or Medium Enterprises, Government of India, for cancellation of the Udyam Registration Certificate. MSME DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE, CHENNAI. E-NEWS LETTER INDUSTRIAL SCENARIO IN TRICHY DISTRICT Tiruchirappalli is a major engineering manufacturing hub in Tamil Nadu. The district is home to four large enterprises in the government sector. Golden Rock Railway Workshop in 1928, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in 1964, Ordnance Factory Tiruchirappalli (OFT) in 1964 and Heavy Alloy Penetrator Project (HAPP) in 1980s had established their manufacturing units in the district. BHEL is a Maharatna Central Public Sector Unit (CPSU). Establishment of BHEL had provided a base to the development of private sector enterprises including micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the district. Except 3 blocks in Tiruchirappalli district, 11 out of 14 blocks are industrially backward. Thus most of industrial development happened in 3 blocks viz. Andhanallur, Manikandam and Thiruverambur, which are suburbs of Tiruchirappalli city and nearer to the BHEL. MSMEs in Tiruchirappalli District The details of MSMEs in Tiruchirappalli district as per UAM filings as on 22-08-2019 are summarised as follows: 1. The number of enterprises, investment and employment in micro, small and medium enterprises are given in Tables (1.2, 1.3 and 1.4) and Figures (1.2, 1.3 and 1.4). 2. The number of enterprises, investment and employment in manufacturing and services are given in Tables (1.2, 1.3 and 1.3) and Figures (1.2, 1.3 and 1.4). 3. There are 19492 no. of MSMEs in Tiruchirappalli district. 4. Out of 19492 MSMEs in the district, micro enterprises are 16985 Nos. (87.14%), small enterprises 2447 Nos. (12.55%) and medium enterprises 60 Nos. (0.31%). 5. The investment in micro enterprises is Rs 77779 Lakhs (32.12%), small enterprises Rs 131867 Lakhs (54.46%) and medium enterprises Rs 32488 Lakhs (13.42%). 6. The employment in micro enterprises is 79673 persons (66.97%), small 35401 persons (29.76%) and medium 3894 persons (3.27%). 7. Out of 19492 MSMEs in the district manufacturing enterprises are 7271 Nos. (37.30%) and service enterprises 12221 Nos. (62.70%). 8. Investment in manufacturing enterprises is Rs 132134 Lakhs (54.57%) and service enterprises Rs 110000 Lakhs (45.43%). 9. Employment in manufacturing enterprises is 54008 persons (45.40%) and service enterprises 64960 persons (54.60%). 10. The average investment and employment per enterprise in MSMEs in the district are Rs 12 Lakhs and 6 persons respectively (Table 1.5 and Figure 1.7). MSME DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE, CHENNAI. E-NEWS LETTER 11. The average investment and employment per enterprise in manufacturing are Rs 18 Lakhs and 7 persons per enterprise (Table 1.5). 12. The average investment and employment per enterprise in services are Rs 9 Lakhs and 5 persons respectively (Table 1.5).
