Kedah launches ceremonies for installation of 29th Sultan BERNAMA 20/09/2018 ALOR SETAR, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- The ‘Istiadat Letak Kerja’ ceremony was held today, initiating the launch of ceremonies for the installation of Sultan Sallehuddin ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah as the 29th Sultan of Kedah on Oct 22. The ‘Istiadat Letak Kerja’, held at the Balai Besar in the full tradition and custom of the Kedah Malay Sultanate, signified the consent of the Sultan of Kedah initiating the installation of His Royal Highness. The song, ‘Allah Selamat Sultan’, reverberated in the Balai Besar soon after the arrival of Sultan Sallehuddin and the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Maliha Almarhum Tengku Ariff. The Tunku Laksamana of Kedah, Datuk Tunku Shazuddin Arif Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin; Tunku Temenggong of Kedah, Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah; Tunku Bendahara of Kedah, Tan Sri Tunku Abdul Hamid Thani Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, and Toh Puan Bendahara of Kedah, Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Datuk Nora Abdullah; Raja Muda of Kedah, Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin, and his consort, Che Puan Muda Zaheeda, were in attendance. Sultan Sallehuddin installed as 29th Sultan of Kedah BERNAMA 22/10/2018 ALOR SETAR, Oct 22 (Bernama) – Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah was today installed as the 29th Sultan of Kedah in a ceremony steeped in tradition at the Balairung Seri (Throne Room) of Istana Anak Bukit here. Following the installation, His Royal Highness will henceforth be addressed as ‘Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah’. The installation was held in the full tradition and custom of the Kedah Malay Sultanate, a historic ceremony considering that the last installation was held almost six decades ago, in 1959, when Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah ascended the Kedah throne. Tunku Laksamana of Kedah Datuk Tunku Shazuddin Arif Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin and Tunku Temenggong of Kedah Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah were present at the ceremony. Also present were Tunku Bendahara of Kedah Tan Sri Tunku Abdul Hamid Thani Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah and his wife Datin Seri Diraja Puan Seri Datuk Nora Abdullah and Raja Muda of Kedah Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin. Menteri Besar of Kedah Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir and his wife Tok Puan Norzieta Zakaria and other state government leaders were also present. The ceremony began with a ‘tahlil’ and reciting of the ‘doa’ led by Kedah Mufti Datuk Syeikh Fadzil Awang. Sultan Sallehuddin and Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah then visited the graves of 10 past sultans as well as the grave of the Sultan’s mother, Tunku Ampuan Asma binti Almarhum Sultan Sulaiman. The Sultan and the Raja Muda accompanied by Mukhriz first visited the grave of Sultan Zainal Rasyid Mu’adzam Shah II, who was the 25th sultan of Kedah, followed by the the grave of Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Mukarram Shah (the 24th sultan).

KEBAWAH DULI YANG MAHA MULIA SULTAN KEDAH MENCEMAR DULI BERKENAN MENGUCAPKAN SELAMAT JALAN KEPADA JEMAAH HAJI NEGERI KEDAH KE TANAH SUCI MUSIM 1440H | 2019M ALOR SETAR, Selasa, 9 Julai 2019: Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Badlishah, Sultan Kedah Darulaman dan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultanah Maliha binti Al-Marhum Tengku Ariff, Sultanah Kedah Darulaman berkenan mencemar duli berangkat hadir untuk mengucapkan selamat jalan kepada 150 orang bakal Jemaah Haji Negeri Kedah di Dewan Baiduri, TH Hotel & Convention Centre, Alor Setar hari ini. Kumpulan ini dijadualkan berlepas menerusi penerbangan KT13K (MH8401) pada 9 Julai 2019 pukul 8.50 malam dari Alor Setar Ke KLIA. Mereka kemudiannya meneruskan penerbangan dari KLIA menerusi penerbangan KT13 (MH8112) pada 10 Julai 2019 pukul 5.30 pagi dan dijangka tiba di Madinah pada pukul 9.00 pagi (waktu Arab Saudi). KDYMM Sultan Kedah dalam titah ucapan baginda mengucapkan tahniah dan menyeru semua bakal haji agar bersyukur kerana terpilih sebagai tetamu Allah SWT. Baginda berharap semua jemaah haji memberi sepenuh tumpuan dalam pelaksanaan ibadat haji. KDYMM Sultan Kedah turut menasihati jemaah untuk menjaga kesihatan; menguatkan ketahanan mental dan fizikal serta sentiasa mematuhi peraturan serta undang-undang yang ditetapkan oleh Kerajaan Arab Saudi dan TH. Baginda mendoakan kesejahteraan semua jemaah haji, agar dapat menunaikan ibadah haji dengan sempurna dan kembali ke tanah air dengan haji yang mabrur. 1 KDYMM Sultan Kedah kemudiannya bersalaman dan mengucapkan selamat jalan kepada bakal jemaah haji. Press Release MALAYSIA TO CHAMPION 5G IN SOUTHEAST ASIA ● The implementation of 5G can contribute approximately RM12.7 billion to the national GDP as well as create about 40,000 new jobs in the next five years - MIER ● There are 72 use cases involving nine (9) verticals at 56 live sites actively operating from October 2019 until June 2020, with a total investment of RM143 million, of which 35 of the use cases are based in Langkawi LANGKAWI, 20 January 2020 --- Malaysia is set to carve its name on the global arena, on par with developed economies, with the implementation of 5G Demonstration Projects (5GDP) throughout the country led by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). The progress in implementing the fifth generation mobile technology (5G) will also redefine the readiness of the Malaysian digital economy, particularly the industries and small and medium-sized businesses, to face the fourth industrial revolution. Malaysia has laid the foundation through 5GDP to be at the frontier in deploying 5G in the Southeast Asia region. In a recent study by the Malaysia Institute of Economic Research (MIER), the implementation of 5G can contribute approximately RM12.7 billion to the national gross domestic product (GDP) as well as create about 40,000 new jobs in the next five years. A comprehensive 5G ecosystem is in progress with various new approaches, which include network and infrastructure sharing between service providers, policy revisions, joint ventures and many more. 5G will connect not just people but things.
