Rennes were undone by a 91st-minute Chelsea winner while Krasnodar's third successive defeat was confirmed by a Sevilla goal five minutes into stoppage time. • That left both sides on a single point, gained in their Matchday 1 draw in France when a 56th-minute Sehrou Guirassy penalty for Rennes was cancelled out three minutes later by Krasnodar's Cristian Ramírez. That means the winners at the Stadium Krasnodar would seal third place in Group E; a draw would take it to Matchday 6. Form guide Krasnodar • Having marked their UEFA Champions League group stage debut with a first point in the competition thanks to the draw at Rennes, Krasnodar went on to lose 4-0 at home to Chelsea before being beaten away (2-3), in a game they led 2-0, and at home by Sevilla. • Krasnodar are the seventh Russian club to compete in the UEFA Champions League group stage, and the first newcomers from the country since Rostov in 2016/17. • This is only Krasnodar's seventh season in UEFA competition – they have featured every year since making their debut in the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League. In 2019/20, they were eliminated by Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League play-offs and went on to finish third in their UEFA Europa League section behind Basel and Getafe, picking up nine points from their six matches (W3 L3). • Third in the Russian Premier League for the second season in a row in 2019/20, Krasnodar had only played four European Cup matches before 2020/21. The first ended in a 1-0 home defeat by Porto in the 2019/20 third qualifying round first leg, only for them to then turn round the tie with a remarkable 3-2 victory in Portugal in which they led 3-0 at half-time. However, Olympiacos proved too strong for Murad Musaev's team in the play-offs, winning 4-0 in Greece and 2-1 in Russia. • Krasnodar had no such problems in this season's play-off, winning both legs of their tie against Greek club PAOK 2- 1 with Rémy Cabella scoring the winner in each game. • Before losing to Chelsea and Sevilla, Krasnodar had won three successive home matches in UEFA competition, although those are their only victories in the last ten games in their own stadium (D2 L5). • This is Krasnodar's sixth match against a French club. They drew 1-1 away and at home against LOSC Lille in the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League group stage and were paired with Nice at the same stage of the same competition in 2016/17, when they followed a 5-2 home win with a 2-1 loss in France. Rennes • The Ligue 1 side opened their first UEFA Champions League campaign with that draw at home to Krasnodar, Guirassy scoring Rennes' first ever European Cup goal, but subsequently lost at Sevilla (0-1) and Chelsea (0-3) before elimination was confirmed by another loss to the English side last time out. • Rennes are making their European Cup debut in 2020/21 having finished third in Ligue 1 last season. • This is Rennes' third successive season playing European football, a club first. • Having reached the UEFA Europa League round of 16 in 2018/19, Julien Stéphan's side finished fourth in their section in the same competition last season, picking up four points to finish behind Celtic, CFR Cluj and Lazio. • Rennes were 2-0 winners at home to Lazio on Matchday 6 in last season's UEFA Europa League, their only win in their last 11 European matches (D2 L8). • Rennes have lost their last six European away matches; a 3-1 win against Real Betis in the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League round of 32 second leg (6-4 aggregate) was the last time they avoided defeat on their travels. • Les Rouge et Noir are the 11th Ligue 1 club to take part in the UEFA Champions League group stage and the first French debutants since Montpellier in 2012/13. • The Matchday 1 draw with Krasnodar was Rennes' first European game against a Russian club. Links and trivia • Born in Corsica, French international Rémy Cabella started his youth career at Gazélec Ajaccio before joining Montpellier in 2004 aged 14. He was part of the club's senior squad between 2009 and 2014 and has also had spells at Arles-Avignon (2010/11, loan), Marseille (2015–17) and St-Étienne (2017–19) in his homeland. 3 FC Krasnodar - Stade Rennais FC Wednesday 2 December 2020 - 18.55CET (20.55 local time) Match press kit Stadium Krasnodar, Krasnodar • Cabella has played 13 games against Rennes (W3 D5 L5), scoring the only goal in Marseille's Ligue 1 away win on 3 December 2015. Cabella's Montpellier were beaten 2-0 at Rennes in the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals on 16 January 2013. • Have played together: Rémy Cabella & Jonas Martin (Montpellier 2012–14) Rémy Cabella & M'Baye Niang (Montpellier 2014) Wanderson & Hamari Traoré (Lierse 2013–15) Latest news Krasnodar • Eleven Krasnodar players made their debuts in the UEFA Champions League, group stage to final, on Matchday 1, including 34-year-old striker Marcus Berg. • Krasnodar have picked up 21 points from their first 16 league games of 2020/21, nine fewer than at the same stage of last season. Saturday's 1-0 loss at Khimki made it four defeats in their last five Premier League matches. • The Bulls have won one of their last nine matches in all competitions (D1 L7), a 1-0 home victory against Tambov on 21 November that ended a run of five successive losses. • That win against Tambov was also Krasnodar's only clean sheet in their last 18 games, since a 2-0 home league win against Arsenal Tula on 18 August. • The 7-2 win at home to Khimki on 18 September was the first time Krasnodar have ever scored seven goals in a game. It was their biggest margin of victory since a 5-0 home success against Anzhi on 31 March 2019. • Viktor Claesson's opening goal could not prevent Sweden suffering a 4-2 defeat away to France in the UEFA Nations League on 17 November. • Ari came on as substitute against Tambov and Sevilla, his first appearances since 15 March. • Sergei Petrov will be out of action for the rest of this year with a hamstring injury suffered in Rennes on Matchday 1. • Matvei Safonov, whose last appearance came on 8 November, has been sidelined by illness while Dmitri Stotski is also unavailable through injury. • Goalkeeper Evgeni Gorodov made his European debut on Matchday 4. • Daniil Utkin is among the contenders for the Russian Premier League's best young player award. Rennes • Thirteen Rennes players made their first appearance in the UEFA Champions League, group stage to final, on Matchday 1, including goalscorer Sehrou Guirassy.

  • Ligue 1 Guide 2021/22
2021/2022 Ligue 1 Preview Guide INTRODUCTION After a historically close title race that saw four teams in the running Ligue 1 is back with no small amount of fanfare following a busy summer. Of those four sides, while Lille and Lyon have been relatively quiet as they try to consolidate under new managers, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain have been eager participants in the mercato, buying well in a way that addresses the two sides’ needs. Nice and Rennes have also done some canny business in the offseason, to say nothing of Marseille’s flood of arrivals, but the discussions about pro- spective title favorites in France have to start and end with the capital side. Even as rumors swirl around the potential departure of Kylian Mbappé, it’s hard to argue that Paris Saint-Ger- main haven’t done their utmost to convince their young star to stay. At least, that is, if one judges by their transfer activity. The arrivals of Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Achraf Hakimi have bolstered Mauricio Pochettino’s side in key areas whilst also adding another layer of dynamism. If he can keep his squad happy and balanced, this team looks as potent as any in Europe, Elsewhere, Monaco are probably best-equipped to challenge, even as they will have to contend with playing European football. The arrivals of Myron Boadu, Alexander Nübel and Ismail Jakobs look to be upgrades, and so long as Niko Kovac’s exciting, front-foot football remains in place and so do all of its key elements.

  • Ligue-1-2016 2017.Pdf
A Note from the Editor: For many, Ligue 1 cannot restart quickly enough following an almost perfect, but fundamentally cruel EURO 2016 for France on home soil. The pain suffered on that night in Paris by Didier Deschamps’s men and an entire nation remains all the more heartrending because of the newfound professionalism that Les Bleus conducted themselves with throughout the tournament. Karim Benzema antics aside, contrary to years of squad infighting, the team spirit inside the French camp was the strongest it had been since 2000. On the pitch, France proved that they are on the cusp of a new golden generation, with Samuel Umtiti, Kingsley Coman and Antoine Griezmann all shining. Although some of Les Bleus’ much touted young guns fell short of expectations, namely Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial, France’s U19 EURO win further confirms that the future is astonishingly bright for French football on the international scene. One would not be foolish to expect there to be some turnover of talent for the 2018 World Cup cycle, with Patrice Evra and others’ involvement coming to an end. Much like Les Bleus therefore, Ligue 1 too can expect a very different feel for the 2016/17 season. PSG have entered a new era after President Al Khelaifi’s obsession for progression in the Champions’ League failed to be adequately satisfied by Laurent Blanc, leading to the latter’s dismissal. Les Parisiens have appointed Unai Emery in Blanc’s place, who brings a new-age management approach that relies on a squad instead of a team of individuals, a charge often leveled at Blanc’s PSG.

GET FRENCH FOOTBALL NEWS 2020/2021 Ligue 1 Preview Guide Rarely has French football been simultaneously seemingly on the verge of a breakthrough moment in Europe, with the Champions’ League achievements of Lyon and Paris Saint-Ger- main not yet brought to their conclusion as I write this, or so seemingly vulnerable. For all of the achievements that teams like Lille or Lyon have had in recent years, French clubs still re- main prey for those with deeper pockets, and success only makes their most talented players that much more attractive - the unsettled nature of things at both the Stade Pierre Mauroy and Groupama Stadium are testament to that. Still, though, there is much to celebrate as a new season of Ligue 1 dawns - yes, Paris Saint-Ger- main look likely to stroll to the title again, but Marseille and their boisterous supporters will relish being back in Europe’s elite competition after finishing second. There is joy, too, at Rennes, where the Breton side have continued their steady improvement under Julien Stéphan and been rewarded with a place in the Champions’ League. For all of their acheivements last campaign, though, both of those teams may struggle, as Lille did last season, to negotiate playing in Eu- rope. Both have made important additons this summer, though, in the form of the influential Álva- ro González making his loan move permanent for Marseille and Rennes making a canny move in plucking Martin Terrier from Lyon to bolster their attack. Among their competitors, however, Lille have been the big spenders, splashing out €30m on the Canadian attacker Jonathan Da- vid, his success in the Belgian league hopefully boding well for him as he hopes to succeed the departed Victor Osimhen.

  • Elye WAHI LA VITESSE SANS PRÉCIPITATION Auteur De 3 Buts Sur Ses 7 Premières Apparitions En Pros, Le Jeune Attaquant De 18 Ans a Effectué Des Débuts Tonitruants
