1. SCFL LEAGUES Information Document.Cdr NATIONAL EST 2020 NATIONAL SOUTHERN CROSS FUTSAL LEAGUES NATIONAL NATIONAL LEAGUE NATIONAL EST 2021 y J LEAGUE LEAGUE EST 2021 EST 2021 In Association with INTERSPORT FUTSAL FFEDERATIONAF OF AUSTRALIAN FUTSAL MANAGEMENT CONFEDERATION NATIONAL EST 2020 WHAT IS THE NATIONAL FUTSAL LEAGUE The National Southern Cross Futsal Leagues were established in 2020/21 to not only create a higher level of competition across Australia from Juniors to Seniors for both Man and Women but also to develop the Sport and the Futsal Player! The structure behind the leagues is Conference based, with each Conference running their own leagues in their respective regions/area. Clubs or Teams competing in these Conferences will not only play to win their league, but they will also play for a spot in the National League Play-Offs Final, where they will compete against the top two (2) Teams from each Conference from around Australia to become Australian National Champions! The National Champions will then be invited to an International AMF Club Tournament that will be held each year (ages 11 and over). The 2021/22 National Southern Cross Futsal Leagues will be played in 7 different Conferences across 5 States in Australia, making it the only National Futsal League for both Seniors and Juniors in Australia! 2021/22 SCFL Conferences are: 1. Sydney Conference - Sydney, NSW. 2. Melbourne Conference - Melbourne, VICTORIA. 3. Adelaide Conference - Adelaide, SA. 4. Perth Conference - Perth, WA 5. FNQ Conference - Cairns, QLD 6. Brisbane Conference - Brisbane, QLD 7. Northern NSW Conference - Port Macquarie to Byron Bay, NSW. With more Conferences starting up soon! NATIONAL EST 2020 WHO WE ARE The National Southern Cross Futsal Leagues began with a need to develop “Futsal” in Australia as its own Sport! We believe Futsal could and should be one of the leading sports in this country and these Leagues will play an important part in the development and recognition of the Sport but most importantly the development of the “Futsal Player”! We also need to develop Futsal Players to become Futsal Players from a very early age right through to seniors by providing them with programs, pathways and goals all year round. In the modern era the young aspiring athlete has so many distractions and so many loose interest in Futsal when they reach their mid to late teens, one of these factors is that Futsal in this country does not have a National Development Program nor a National League for the young player to aspire to and possibly play in one day. Hence Intersport Management together with Federation of Australian Futsal have created these National Futsal Leagues, for Juniors, Youth Men and Women, these Leagues will not only provide a higher level of competition but it will also offer opportunities and pathways for Players, Coaches and Officials that wish to pursue a career the sport they love! OUR GOALS Our main goal is to unite and elevate the sport of Futsal to where we believe it should be in this county! One of the ways we will achieve this is by Developing “Futsal Players” to play Futsal and by providing them with all year round programs and competitions that will not only help the Player Develop, but also the Coach, the Official and ultimately the Sport in the hope that one day it will becoming a Professional Sport in Australia! With these goals in mind and our passion for the game, together with FAF and its affiliation with the International Futsal Governing Body AMF, all leagues have pathways and opportunities to National and Intercontinental Club Championship across Oceania, Asia, South American and Central Europe. Leagues from Under 11 up will be a proving ground and a talent identification for the Australian National Futsal Teams that compete in AMF Futsal World Cups for both Juniors, Men and Women! INQUISITORIAL PROCESSES IN AUSTRALIAN TRIBUNALS Narelle Bedford Robin Creyke Orders for this publication should be sent to: The AIJA Level 1, 472 Bourke Street MELBOURNE VIC 3000 Australia Telephone: (61 3) 9600 1311 Facsimile: (61 3) 9606 0366 Website:www.aija.org.au Published 2006 by the Australian Institute of Judicial Administration Incorporated ISBN 1-875527-47-8 ii Preface As the result of a presentation by Ms Robin Creyke, then Reader in Law at the Centre of International and Public Law, Faculty of Law, the Australian National University, at the AIJA Annual Conference held in Hobart in September 2001 entitled “Courts, Tribunals and Government”, the AIJA Project and Research Committee resolved to explore with Ms Creyke the possibility of a project further focusing upon the work of tribunals. Consequent upon discussion between Ms Creyke, Mr Stephen Skehill, a Life Member of the Institute and then an AIJA Councillor and Professor Greg Reinhardt, AIJA Executive Director, Ms Creyke put forward a proposal for a research project on Inquisitorial Processes in Australian Tribunals. A detailed proposal was submitted to the AIJA Project and Research Committee which formally recommended to Council a project focusing upon an analysis of what it means for a tribunal to operate in an inquisitorial rather than an adversarial fashion and an empirical study of relevant legislation in practices and procedures of tribunals described as inquisitorial. The way in which tribunals operate and the practices and procedures they adopt are relevant not only to their work but can also inform the way in which courts manage litigation. The AIJA is pleased to have worked cooperatively with tribunals and tribunal members over a number of years and to have conducted an annual conference for tribunal members.
