This is an important step in the development and future direction of Futsal. The competition will feature the top players this country has to offer. The six clubs competing hail from different geographical regions. These pioneer clubs are contesting the right to be a permanent part of history in claiming the achievement to be crowned Champions of the inaugural Futsal F-League. I would like to welcome Parramatta Blues (NSW), Dural Warriors (NSW), Maccabi Hakoah (NSW), St Albans Strikers Futsal Club (VIC), Inner City FC (VIC) and Boomerangs FS (ACT) in what will be a fiercely competitive league for all involved. These Clubs need to be acknowledged for their commitment to pioneering this competition in conjunction with Football NSW. The introduction of the F-League gives Futsal players the chance to develop their skills all year round, providing top class competition. This is an opportunity for the best talented players and those aspiring to be among the best to participate in a league. Football NSW is seeking to further develop the sport of Futsal and entrench it as part of the Football Family and Community. The Football Federation of Australia shares this vision and has endorsed the F-League; a significant step forward for the code in this country. Football NSW is optimistic the F-League will be the catalyst for a truly National Futsal League. A League which would lead to the possible inclusion for the winner of the F-League as Australia’s entry in the AFC Futsal Club Championships. I would like to thank Football Federation Victoria, Capital Football and Football Federation Australia for their strong show of support and willingness to work collaboratively with Football NSW in the next phase of lifting the profile and importance of Futsal to the next level. Thank you for your commitment to futsal and best wishes for the season.
