After 13 Congress Chairmen 2014 years, the congress will be back in Italy: in Rome, the eternal city. The Congress Luca Cordaro, (Italy) Committee and the Board of the European Association for Osseointegration have Björn Klinge, (Sweden) put a great effort to design a new format for the very successful annual congress. Scientific committee Over 3 full days, sessions will be organized around one main theme, SPQR Hugo de Bruyn, (Belgium) (Simplification, Predictability, Quality to achieve Results), that is the backbone of Ronald Jung, (Switzerland) the program with dedicated plenary sessions in the middle of each congress day. Theodoros Kapos, (United Kingdom) The scientific works will show more interactivity with the participants with open Björn Klinge, (Sweden) discussion between speakers on the podium that indicate different approaches Carlo Maiorana, (Italy) to the same clinical problem. The whole programme is designed to be a critical Bjarni Pjetursson, (Iceland) debate, based on evidence, and on various clinical experiences. Several new Karl Andreas Schlegel, (Germany) sessions have been designed such as dedicated sessions for the implantologist Franck Schwarz, (Germany) of tomorrow, 3 research sessions open to abstract submission for studies Alberto Sicilia Felechosa, (Spain) focused on basic research, surgical topics or prosthetic problems and also 3 oral presentation sessions. Hands on courses will also take place. As usually large trade exhibitions as well as industry satellite symposia will be organized. Abstract committee Rome needs no introduction and it is impossible to describe all the possible CHAIRMAN sightseeing opportunities. The Vatican, the ancient Roman ruins including the Bjarni Pjetursson, (Iceland) Coliseum, the marvelous buildings and paintings of the Renaissance or just the incredible flavor of a walk in the old downtown area will help in transforming the Co-Chairpersons participation to the EAO congress into an unforgettable experience. Ralf-Joachim Kohal, (Germany) We expect a very pleasant weather at the end of September with temperatures Irena Sailer, (Switzerland) around 25° C. Besides all this, the scientific committee has worked hard to propose a very attractive program. Thomas Albrektsson, (Sweden) Goran Benic (Switzerland) The local scientific societies, that in Italy have a long standing tradition of high Matteo Chiapasco, (Italy) scientific and clinical level, will have dedicated sessions in English, and guest Nikolaos Donos, (Italy) countries from outside Europe will also be part of the scientific programme. Klaus Gotfredsen, (Denmark) Robert Haas, (Austria) The new format of the EAO congress will be there for you, we will start our new Flemming Isidor, (Denmark) adventure from the city where a big part of the European culture and tradition Matthias Kern, (Germany) comes from: Rome. Andrea Mombelli, (Switzerland) Timo Närhi, (Finland) So let’s meet in Rome next September, the scientific committee is sure that you Gerry Raghoebar, (the Netherlands) will have an exciting and professionally rewarding experience. Giovanni Salvi (Switzerland) Henning Schliephake, (Germany) Lars Schropp, (Denmark) Luca Cordaro Hendrik Terheyden, (Germany) Chairman of the Scientific Committee Daniel Thoma, (Switzerland) Ann Wennerberg, (Sweden) Jörg Wiltfang, (Germany) 4 FINAL PROGRAMME EAO 2014 congress overview Wednesday sept. 24 Thursday sept. 25 friday sept. 26 saturday sept. 27 Santa theAtre choir hall theAtre choir hall / Auditorium Auditorium theAtre cecilia sinopoli petrassi studio / coro Santa cecilia sinopoli petrassi studio coro Arte 1 Arte 2 studio 1 studio 2 studio 3 Santa cecilia sinopoli petrassi studio studio 1 studio 2 studio 3 07:45 07:45 08:00 INDUSTRY 08:00 BREAKFAST 15 SYMPOSIUM 15 30 Organized by HANDS-ON HANDS-ON HANDS-ON HANDS- HANDS- HANDS- 30 45 Osstell P26 HANDS-ON HANDS-ON COURSES COURSES COURSES ON ON ON 45 COURSES COURSES NATIONAL COURSES COURSES COURSES 09:00 09:00 IMPLANTOLOGISTS Organised Organised Organised SOCIETIES ARENA 2 ORAL PARALLEL 15 OF ORAL Organised by Organised by by by by ARENA 4 SESSION Organised Organised Organised 15 COMM. I have just taken over from Gerhard Aigner as the CEO of UEFA. It is one of the most interesting jobs in football and, together with my colleagues, I will continue building on the founda- tions laid down by Mr Aigner in serving European football in the best possible way. The new format of the UEFA Champions League has been a success. After an interesting group stage we are now entering the knock-out stage, with some very exciting matches on the pro- gramme. We are just finalising the fine- tuning of the new format for the UEFA Cup, so as to be prepared for an interesting start to next season. The most challenging and important project in European club football in recent years is now under implementation. I am referring to the UEFA club licensing system which comes into force for qualification next season. All member associations and leagues are taking part in developing club football towards better finances and infrastructure which will safeguard the future of our game.

Imbens and Jeffrey M. Wooldridge* Many empirical questions in economics and other social sciences depend on causal effects of programs or policies. In the last two decades, much research has been done on the econometric and statistical analysis of such causal effects. This recent theoreti- cal literature has built on, and combined features of, earlier work in both the statistics and econometrics literatures. It has by now reached a level of maturity that makes it an important tool in many areas of empirical research in economics, including labor economics, public finance, development economics, industrial organization, and other areas of empirical microeconomics. In this review, we discuss some of the recent developments. We focus primarily on practical issues for empirical research- ers, as well as provide a historical overview of the area and give references to more technical research. 1. CHICKPEA BIBLIOGRAPHY 1 9 3 0 TO 1974 K. B. SINGH PLANT BREEDER (CHICKPEA) AND L. J. G. V A N DER M A E S E N GERMPLASM BOTANIST (PULSES) ICRISAT International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics 1-11-256 Begumpet Hyderabad 500016 (A.P.) India 1977 Preface With an increased emphasis on research on the important grain legume crop of chickpea, there is a need for a comprehensive listing of chickpea literature. Bibliographies prepared by the ICAR (I960), Regional Pulse Improvement Project of USDA (1966-1970), and L.J.G. van der Maesen (1972) have been the basic resource works on chickpea; this effort was undertaken to update the available bibliographic works and to provide wider coverage of the world literature. Assistance was obtained from the U.S.D.A. Library, Commonwealth Bureau of Plant Breeding, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Publications and Information Directorate (Wealth of India Section), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (New Delhi), and the ICRISAT Library in compiling and checking the references. This bibliography covers the years 1930- 1974. Also included is all traceable literature prior to this period. The coverage includes 22 languages. Foreign titles are presented only in the English translation. Where titles are of common knowledge in a particular field, the original language was kept in order to avoid confusion, for example some taxonomical works in Latin. A complete list of all languages used has been given at the end. A list of periodical abbreviations along with language and country of publication precedes the bibliography for identification of periodicals used in the citations.
