The Department works in three main interlinked areas: (i) it compiles, generates and analyses a wide range of economic, social and environ- mental data and information on which States Members of the United Nations draw to review common problems and to take stock of policy options; (ii) it facilitates the negotiations of Member States in many intergovernmental bodies on joint courses of action to address ongoing or emerging global challenges; and (iii) it advises interested Governments on the ways and means of translating policy frameworks developed in United Nations conferences and summits into programmes at the country level and, through technical assistance, helps build national capacities. INTERIM RESULTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 30 JUNE 2018 Highlights • Golar LNG Partners LP (“Golar Partners” or “the Partnership”) reports net income attributable to unit holders of $28.4 million and operating income of $36.6 million for the second quarter of 2018. • Generated distributable cash flow1 of $23.0 million for the second quarter with a distribution coverage ratio1 of 0.56. • FLNG Hilli Episeyo accepted by charterers Perenco and SNH. Subsequent Events • Completed acquisition of initial equity interest in Golar Hilli LLC on July 12, 2018 and resume discussions on the potential acquisition of an additional equity interest. • Shipping market shows solid signs of improvement. Secured 10-month charter for Golar Maria. • Selected FSRU Golar Freeze to service 15-year Atlantic project. Vessel enters Dubai Drydocks. • Declared an unchanged distribution for the second quarter of $0.5775 per unit. Financial Results Overview Golar Partners reports net income attributable to unit holders of $28.4 million and operating income of $36.6 million for the second quarter of 2018 (“the second quarter” or “2Q”), as compared to net income attributable to unit holders of $14.8 million and operating income of $26.1 million for the first quarter of 2018 (“the first quarter” or “1Q”) and net income attributable to unit holders of $53.8 million and operating income of $87.4 million for 2Q 2017. 1 Refer to section 'Non-GAAP measures' for definition. Facilities are specifically built or adapted to meet the unique demands of modern policing. Proven technological and support equipment as well as the required financial resources are utilised. Its highly trained and respected Bermudian Commissioner is heading an effective, apolitical management team that is practicing shared leadership of a disciplined Service. Consistent application of policies reflects its values, mission and vision. Effective training and development programmes continuously enhance job performance and meet individual and organisational needs. The communication process is open, honest and respectful. It flows effectively, both internally and exter- nally. It is working in partnership with the community and other agencies to provide the necessary edu- cation and information that enhances these relationships. There is a safe, practical and healthy work environment for all. An effective welfare policy and enforced code of conduct promote openness, trust and unity. The sessions facilitated a direct exchange with other PAC Chairs, Members, and Clerks on a range of technical issues, such as mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of recommendations and the use of media and technology in reaching out to the public. Members and Clerks of the Welsh and Bermudian PACs identified common challenges faced by parliaments and committees in small legislatures, and shared their approaches to managing, for example, parliamentarians’ limited time and resources. The eight delegates remained highly engaged in all discussions with their counterparts in Westminster and Cardiff, including the UK PAC Vice Chair Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP, and Welsh PAC Chair Nick Ramsay AM. Following the conclusion of the programme, delegates suggested specific changes they would undertake upon their return to Bermuda. -
