At our regularly held public meeting on February 8, 2011, the Board of Directors of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council (“DLANC”) voted to submit the following comments in general support of the proposed Broadway Civic Center project located at 316-318 W. 2nd Street, 312 W. 2nd Street, 201-205 S. Broadway, 207-211 S. Broadway, and 213-223 S. Broadway, pursuant to the motion passed on January 19, 2011, by DLANC’s Planning & Land Use Committee.

DLANC generally supports the planned development of the Broadway Civic Center site and the filing of a Master Conditional Use Permit to allow the sale and dispensing of a range of beer and wine and full alcohol sales for on- and off-site consumption in conjunction with the 9 proposed establishments. The project representative presented the development concept and preliminary site plans to the Planning & Land Use Committee on January 19, 2011. DLANC supports the development of the existing buildings to provide much needed neighborhood serving amenities which will serve Downtown’s employees, residents and visitors.
