PROTECTION

• The community reported feeling safe in their current locations, but were afraid to move to other areas, particu- larly to Wau. • There were concerns reported to the IRNA team of children carrying guns. • There were 44 reported separated children - 32 accompanied and 12 unaccompanied - and six children re- ported missing. • Some community members expressed concern that the fighting signified rising ethnic-related tension which could lead to further inter-communal violence. • Particular protection concerns affecting women and girls were reported, including sexual violence, exploita- tion and abduction. Women that reported harassment particularly mentioned men in uniform. • UXOs were highlighted as a concern for IDPs in Atito. •
