Caroline Rigby Headteacher, Leicester Grammar Junior School The School Leicester Grammar Junior School is a selective, co-educational independent day school of 390 pupils founded in 1992 for pupils aged 3-11. The School has built up a solid reputation for delivering an excellent academic education, whilst developing the all-round talents of the children in a warm and nurturing environment.

The vast majority of our pupils progress to Leicester by suc- cessfully passing the entrance test. The role of a Sports Graduate at Leicester Grammar School is to assist in the teaching of PE lessons, coaching teams, assisting with fixtures and administrative tasks under the guidance of the Head of PE and Games. Our Sports Graduate will be required:

• to coach and assist with PE lessons, games and extra-curricular sporting ac- tivities throughout term time for pupils of all ages and abilities, across a wide variety of different sports and disciplines. • to referee/umpire, coach and/or assist in the smooth running of school fix- tures. • to promote professional standards of punctuality, presentation, discipline and sportsmanship with all pupils, taking appropriate action where necessary. • to assist the Head of PE and Games with administrative tasks as required. • to ensure the safe set up of sports equipment and that areas are left in good condition • to assist in the development of resources and share best practices with col- leagues. • to co-operate with the school in all matters concerning Health and Safety, following the School and PE department handbooks and support all of the School’s policies. • to prepare equipment and team lists for away fixtures
