In exercise ofthe powers conferred on him by section 156 ofthe Constitution of the Federation and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf the President hereby makes the following Order— 1.—(1) The enactments specified in Schedules 1 and 2 of this Order are Modification of existing hereby modified in the mannertherein specified. law. (2) The Adaptation of Laws (Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 1964 L.N. 112 of 1964. is hereby amended in the mannerspecified in Schedule 3 of this Order. Citation, 2.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Adaptation of Laws (Miscellaneous extent and Provisions) Order 1965. savings. (2) This Order— (a) so far as it relates to the enactments specified in Schedule 1 hereof and the entries mentioned in Part A of Schedule 3 hereof, shall apply throughout the Federation; (b) so far as it relates the enactments specified in Schedule 2 hereof and the entry mentioned in Part B of Schedule 3 hereof, shall apply to the Federal territory. (3) The modification effected by this order shall not— (a) render invalid any notification, order, rule, regulation or bye-law which was duly given, or made or anything which was duly done before the date of this order and any such notification, order, rule, regulation or bye-law so given, or made or thing so done under or in pursuance of an enactment which is modified by this order shall be deemed to have been given made or done in accordance with that enactment as so modified and shall have effect accordingly; (b) affect the previous operation of any enactment or anything duly done or suffered under any enactment or affect any right, privilege obligation or liability accrued or incurred under any enactment or affect any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed under any enactment.
