Skip to Content. Good defeats evil if only temporarily until the next adventure. It's important to believe in oneself and trust one's instincts. Despite some humorous squabbling among themselves, all the members of the Justice League are brave, strong, resourceful, and humane. Each is willing to his or her life to save the others and to work for the citizens of the planet. In addition, some of the male superheroes flirt with Wonder Woman, setting her apart from her colleagues. Ethnic and species diversity throughout. Cartoon action. A series of battles finds the heroes under siege from their enemies. Explosions, gunfire, assorted advanced weaponry, and even banana peels and a massive plunger wreak havoc on all the players. Characters collapse, plummet to the ground, blow up, fall apart, are ejected into outer space, fight hand to hand. Both heroes and villains, all with special talents and powers, wield those talents and powers against their opponents with great noise, calamity, and destruction. Merchandising and filmmaking join to saturate the marketplace with all things Lego and all things DC Comics. Parents and caregivers: Set limits for violence and more with Plus. It's filled with action sequence in which characters are sent into outer space, squashed, stink-bombed, blasted, blown to smithereens, and banished from earth over and over again only to live to fight another day -- which is usually only a few moments later. Both on the attack and on the defensive, the League continues to stand up for the citizens of and the planet itself through battle after battle -- in a bank, in a government weapons installation, trapped with a nuclear reactor, and on the streets of the city. In a bizarre twist, someone who seems to be a multifaceted enemy becomes a member of the League's ultimate . At 77 minutes, it's long, with probably one battle too many. And, as always, it's very male-centered, with Wonder Woman and relegated to minor battles and, in Wonder Woman's case, having too many suitors. She does, however, deliver the messages and values to which her colleagues aspire. This tale from the ongoing Lego-DC Comics partnership will be a treat for fans, and, by focusing on such a wide array of characters, it's sure to boost sales for the franchise's many markets. Families can talk about how toy manufacturers and filmmaking companies work together to sell their products.
