THE SCHOOL Carolina Day School is an independent, coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory day school serving grades PK through 12. We are dually accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Southern Association of Independent Schools. The School’s total enrollment, PK-12, for 2018-2019 is 648. Carolina Day School complies with the NACAC Statement of Principles of Good Practice. Maintenance of this environment requires that each community member understands and practices values such as honesty, self-discipline, self-respect, and respect for others. The Honor Code has been developed by students, teachers, and administrators to guide the community in achieving these goals. The student-led Honor Council is responsible for ensuring that the principles of the Honor Code are understood and upheld by the student body. ACADEMIC PROGRAM A minimum of 22 credits are required for graduation. Required credits include English (4), Science (3) Biology and Chemistry required, Social Studies (3) United States History required, Mathematics (3), World Language (3), Arts (1), Speech or Debate (.5). Beginning in academic year 2015-2016 students are restricted to 3 AP credits per year.
