DS 9 will be offered with a new E-TENSE plug-in hybrid powertrain comprising a 1.6 PureTech turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor combined to deploy 225 hp and capable of going between 40 and 50 kilometres (WLTP) in zero emissions mode thanks to an 11.9 kWh battery. The electric motor is integrated in an eight-speed automatic gearbox and can deploy 80 kW (110hp) and 320 Nm. It is used for driving off from a standstill, boosting acceleration at any speed and for driving in zero emissions mode up to 135 km/h / 84 mph. Three driving modes are available: • Electric mode: it is automatically selected on start-up to maximise efficiency. • Hybrid mode: this mode automatically controls the different types of energy by driving 100% electric, 100% petrol or combining the two if the situation requires it. • E-TENSE Sport <<mode: this mode gets the most out of the available power from both the combustion engine and electric motor. TWO WAYS TO CHARGE First, DS 9 utilises an automatic energy recovery system that re-charges the battery in deceler- ation or brake phases. It guides you to your destination using real-time information provided by TomTom Services, which includes traffic updates, the location of fuel stations, car parks, weather and Points Of Interest. DANGER ZONES BY TOMTOM SERVICES You get audible and visual warnings when extra vigilance is required and alerts for all types of speed control (fixed and mobile). CHARGING STATION SERVICE To give more peace of mind, the electric charging station service instantly tells you the availabi- lity and compatibility of charging stations in the vicinity. TELEMAINTENANCE The Telemaintenance service can recognise the due date for a service or the need for work to be carried out on your DS. If service is required, DS will contact you and suggest an appointment that suits you at the retailer of your choice where the necessary work will be prepared for and carried out thanks to the information that’s already been received. I Practical aspects & convenience I FLEET REVEAL DS 9 - March 2021 > 8 DS PARK PILOT DS 9 can park itself without the driver touching the steering wheel or pedals. It finds a parking place that DS 9 will fit into just by driving past at up to 30 km/h, it then performs the manoeuvre, either parallel to the kerb or in an angled bay. PROXIMITY KEYLESS ENTRY & START Don’t bother about searching for your keys, DS 9 recognises you from a distance of up to 3 metres away and welcomes you by activating its lights. At 1.5 metres the car unlocks itself and the flush fitting door handles – invisible up to that point – appear automatically. DS PARK PILOT DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION Anticipation is key when it comes to offering the ultimate suspension comfort. DS 9 has a state-of-the-art active scan system that uses a front camera as well as four attitude sensors and three accelerometers to continually analyse the road surface in addition to DS 9’s be- haviour (speed, steering wheel angle, braking etc…). DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION They then transmit this data instantly to a computer which independently controls each wheel. Depending on the information received, this can continually make the suspension harder or softer. Its swift, precise reactions make travelling in this incredible saloon even more relaxing.     Un dernier regard sur le Mondial de l'Automobile de Paris 2018 Le Mondial de l'Automobile de Paris 2018 ouvre ses portes pour une dernière journée ce dimanche 14 octobre après dix jours d'exposition. L'occasion de traverser une dernière fois les allées du salon de l'auto parisien et de revisiter les nouveautés présentées au salon international de l'automobile organisé à Paris. L'édition 2018 du salon de l'automobile de Paris coïncide avec les 120 ans du salon. L'édition des 120 ans devrait être fastueuse, mais cette édition 2018 du Mondial de l'Automobile de Paris est compliquée. Le show parisien de l'automobile mondiale se tient alors que la voiture est de plus en plus pointée du doigt dans la capitale. Le Mondial de l'Automobile était jusqu'alors le salon automobile le plus visité au monde. Cette fréquentation record était en partie liée à la durée du salon qui s'étendait jusqu'alors sur seize jours. Il est probable qu'après onze jours d'exposition en 2018 les chiffres de fréquentation soit significativement inférieurs à ceux des dernières années. En 2014, 1 253 513 personnes ont visité le Mondial de l'Automobile Parisien. En 2016, 1 072 697 personnes ont visité le Mondial de l'Automobile. Ce qui frappe en 2018 c'est l'absence d'une quinzaine de marques internationales: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, SsangYong, Subaru, Volkswagen et Volvo manquent à l'appel de l'exposition parisienne.
