Tour De Corse Historique: 18^ Edizione Tour de Corse Historique: 18^ Edizione Cinque tappe con partenza e rientro su Porto-Vecchio passando per Bastia, Calvi e Ajaccio sugli asfalti di una delle più belle tappe del mondiale storico. Con 340 Km di prove cronometrate e 500 Km di trasferimento, tra passato e presente. Ha preso il via il 10 Ottobre da Porto-Vecchio, suggestivo borgo del sud della Corsica celebre per le mura della cittadella genovese del XVI° secolo, la diciottesima edizione del Tour de Corse Historique. La nostra Sonja c’era. Quest’anno ci sono 17 speciali (dieci interamente inedite), un percorso rinnovato all’80% e un parterre d’eccezione. Dopo le verifiche tecniche e amministrative e lo shakedown della Palombaggia (4,10 km), lo start ufficiale del TdCH ha visto i 202 equipaggi iscritti affrontare la prima tappa. Da Porto-Vecchio ha raggiunto nel tardo pomeriggio Bastia con la chiesa a due torri di San Giovanni Battista, la cattedrale di Santa Maria e il palazzo del governatore, sede del museo di storia locale. Tanti miti del passato. 115 i concorrenti della categoria VHC e 87 quelli in VHRS con un parco chiuso che ha accolto auto e piloti. Alcuni hanno fatto la storia dell’automobilismo. Un terzo dei partecipanti ha tagliato la linea di partenza alla guida di Porsche ma si sono pure ammirate Ford Escort Mk1 e Mk2, Lancia Stratos, Ford Sierra Cosworth, Alpine A110, Abarth 13, Renault 12 Gordini e Lancia Delta HF, senza dimenticare alcune Morris Cooper e Cox 1303S. Tour de Corse Historique: 18^ Edizione Se gli eleganti bolidi che hanno percorso le prime 4 speciali (82,1 km) non sono passati inosservati, altrettanto si può dire per gli equipaggi alla guida. Ad iniziare da Didier Auriol, schierato al via del TdCH 2018 su una Ford Sierra Cosworth del 1988. Il sei volte vincitore del Tour de Corse Historique e del Campionato del Mondo del 1994, conosciuto dai più come il “Lutin Cévenol”, ha scelto di festeggiare sui tracciati corsi i 30 anni dalla sua prima vittoria in questa specialità motoristica, navigato dal co-pilota Denis Giraudet. Nomi che contano. Con il numero 80, Simon Edmond, una leggenda per gli appassionati di rally e auto storiche, uno che ha trascorso la vita nel mondo delle competizioni. Dal 1966 la struttura Simon Racing, creata da questo signore attualmente ottantenne (da qui il numero 80 sulle fiancate della sua Opel Ascona, prepara le auto di molti big. E poi ancora Serge Cazaux su Ford Sierra Cosworth 4×4, al comando del Campionato Europeo Storico. Didier Calmels al volante di una Alpine A110 1800, o Pierre Novikoff, direttore aggiunto di Artcurial Motorcars, su Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV, e Philippe Bouffier, padre di Bryan. Questa edizione del tour ha visto la partecipazione di equipaggi provenienti d’oltre frontiera, ad iniziare dall’argentino Martin Sucari su Peugeot 205 T16 in categoria VHRS. Gli italiani caricati dalla passione. Fra gli italiani ai nastri di partenza: Silvio Perlino e Serena Giuliano su Opel Kadett GTE (#29). L’equipaggio femminile Luisa Zumelli e Paola Valmassoi (#68) hanno sfoggiato una Porsche Carrera RS. Poi Maurizio Elia e Corrado Ughetti su Ford Escort RS1600; Roberto Gorni con Angela Grasso su Fiat 124 Abarth Rally, Alessandro Olivieri su Ford Escort RS 2000. Giorgio Schon si è presentato alla guida di una Porsche 911 SC, ed Eugenio Rossi, navigato da Michelle Perlino, sulla Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1.8. In questa prima giornata del Tour de Corse Historique a contendersi la vetta della classifica provvisoria sono stati Serge Cazaux e Didier Auriol che più volte si sono scambiati la leadership delle prove. Sulla ES 1 a classificarsi primo è stato il pilota al volante della Sierra Cosworth 4×4, navigato da Maxime Vilmot, mentre nella ES 2 (la Tallone – Erbajolo lunga 25,39 km) ad avere la meglio è stato il pilota di Montpellier, primo pilota francese a diventare campione del Mondo di Rally nel 1994 (con una Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD ST185). Tour de Corse Historique: 18^ Edizione Si cominciano a tirare le somme. Sui 22,53 km della ES 3 Ponte Leccia-Ponte Novu, Cazaux ha preceduto Auriol in classifica (rispettivamente primo e secondo) mentre nella speciale 4, da Barchetta a Casamozza, la Sierra Cosworth #3 si è piazzata prima mentre Auriol ha concluso con un quarto posto. Altre tre le tappe in programma per questo Tour de Corse Historique: la Bastia-Calvi di giovedì 11 Ottobre (227,43 km totali di cui 89,84 di cronometrate); la Calvi-Ajaccio di venerdì 12 con 3 speciali e il raggruppamento a Porto; la Ajaccio-Porto-Vecchio (sabato 13) che si concluderà con l’arrivo sul podio e la premiazione finale.     2019 MEDIA GUIDE Tour de Corse March 28 - 31, 2019 ROUND 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 Tour de Corse March 28 - 31, 2019 HYUNDAI’S HELLO Welcome to Corsica for round four of the 2019 FIA World Rally Championship and the first true tarmac event of the season. Hyundai Motorsport will be looking to make up ground on the Tour de Corse following a trying event last time out in Mexico, where Thierry claimed fourth and Dani and Andreas both challenged for the lead early on before finishing in ninth and 11th respectively. These were not the results that we are in the WRC to achieve, but we cannot be frustrated or disappointed. The situation is what it is. We’ve taken the lessons on board and worked as hard as we always do to make improvements. Our Rally México participation was affected from the first day and after that we aimed for damage limitation. As it is Thierry is still challenging the leaders in the Drivers’ Championship and the team remains in a strong position in the Manufacturers’ standings. Therefore, we will stay focused and pursue our work with diligence in Corsica. This is an event of course where all three of our drivers for this rally – Thierry, Dani and Sébastien – have reached the top step of the podium. In fact, Seb has tasted victory here on four successive occasions. The crews’ previous achievements should help to lift the whole team as we strive to overcome the disappointments of Mexico and make up ground in the title race.
