NAS Jacksonville is required by Part II Subpart A – General Operating Conditions Section 12 of their permit and federal and state regulation to have a contingency plan to minimize hazards to human health and the environment from fires, explosions, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste (HW) or HW constituents to air, soil, or surface water. This Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan (HWCP) meets the requirements in the permit and 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 264 Subpart D and 40 CFR 270.14(b)(7), as referenced in Table 1 below.
